Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Tebogo Sebego has announced his availability to stand for the Botswana Football Association (BFA) presidency elections.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a charged Facebook post, Sebego stated that he wants to change the landscape of football and scrape away the attitude of fear and abuse in football. Sebego\u2019 s announcement comes after BFA announced that it will appeal the Disciplinary Committee’s decision to drop charges against him. \u201cI wake up with one thing in mind; #stand up for BFA 2024 presidential election. Friends of football have given me a greenlight,\u201d Sebego announced. Sebego stated that he intends to combat abuse in the realm of football once he assumes the presidential seat. \u201cFight abuse office in football including its babies corruption and nepotism. Restoration in all facets \u2013 administrative transparency, rule of law, wipe out fear within the structures even journalists are scared,\u201d Sebego said.<\/p>\n

In his bid for presidency, he stated that BFA will be transparent and indicated that match fixing reports will be made to public. Sebego emphasized that infrastructure development will be in his mandate as it has remained stagnant over the years. He said BFA has only to show the two Lekidi grounds and hostels to date. Other agendas include; empowerment of regions and semi autonomy, chairperson of woman football included in National Executive Committee (NEC).<\/p>\n
