Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Kgatleng District will this on April 19 hold an outreach event dubbed Metlhala Ya Khumo \u2013 a brainchild of Ministry of Trade and Industry.<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Metlhala Ya Khumo outreach event would be held at Dikgalaopa open Space in Mochudi from 0900. Trade and Industry Minister, Mr Mmusi Kgafela, is expected to give a keynote address. The operation Metlhala Ya Khumo is part of the Ministry of Trade and Industry\u2019s communication strategy to raise awareness about its services.<\/p>\n

A news release from the ministry states that Metlhala Ya Khumo has so far been held at different places across the country, reaching the farthest towns and villages, bringing the services closer to the people.<\/p>\n

Metlhala Ya Khumo aims to disseminate and educate the public and the business community about the products and services that the Ministry of Trade\u2019s departments and parastatals offer, says the release.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt also addresses questions, complaints and comments that the public may pose towards the ministry during the day of the outreach, as well as to address challenges, concerns faced by the business community in Kgatleng.\u201d<\/p>\n

The release says the objective of Metlhala Ya Khumo among others, is to share with public and prospective business people, the services and programmes that are available to assist Batswana to start up and grow their businesses.<\/p>\n

Metlhala Ya khumo outreach activities have so far been held since 2009 at different places.<\/p>\n

During the day, there will be exhibitions by the Ministry of Trade and Industry\u2019s departments representatives and parastatals.<\/p>\n
