Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) Group and the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) have donated three vehicles to the National Mindset Change Office to aid in its campaign.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the handover of the vehicles on Friday, the Assistant Minister for State President, Ms Boitumelo Gofhamodimo expressed gratitude that the vehicles would be instrumental in enabling the campaign to reach every Motswana across the country.<\/p>\n

Through the donation, which was also accompanied by the vehicles\u2019 comprehensive maintenance plans for the duration of the campaign, Ms Gofhamodimo said the two organisations had demonstrated that transformation could be achievable through a radical shift in thoughts, attitudes, emotions, and actions.<\/p>\n

The Mindset Change Campaign, the assistant minister said, did not only ignite a desire for change, but also served as a unifying force for the nation.<\/p>\n

She said the Campaign had to be resourced, expressing delight for BDC and CEDA\u2019s contribution towards the resourcing of the National Mindset Change Campaign by donating the three vehicles.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this Mindset campaign, we envision a Botswana where individuals and organisations are self-driven and motivated to make impactful contributions for the greater good of all, and this should permeate across all facets of the economy and the society at large,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt calls upon every Motswana to be a torch bearer of the efforts to cultivate in the nation, the spirit of excellence, constant growth and development, empowering us to collectively strive towards a prosperous future that enhances the lives of all Batswana,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

When President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi launched the National Mindset Change Campaign, branded: A re Chencheng, on July 20, 2023, Ms Gofhamodimo said, he made a compelling call for Batswana to reconstruct the way they think, act and behave and to Reset and Reclaim themselves as Batswana.<\/p>\n

She said, it was essential for every Motswana to play a part in the realisation of the national aspirations of becoming a high-income economy and achieving prosperity for all.<\/p>\n

She said the campaign was meant to inspire the nation to move from; complacency to ambition, stagnation to aspiration – nurturing a \u2018I Can Do It\u2019 or \u2018We can Do It\u2019, thereby moving Batswana from being spectators, to being active participants in the mainstream economy.<\/p>\n

Ms Gofhamodimo encouraged Batswana to constantly remember the underlying principles that underpinned the mindset change, as part of the Reset Agenda, stressing that changing mindsets required refocusing values and aligning actions with them.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Batswana, we should remain steadfast in upholding our values, which are guided by the four principles of; democracy and development, self-reliance, unity and Botho,\u201dshe added.<\/p>\n

BDC managing director, Mr Cross Kgosidiile said the donation was also made possible by Letlole La Rona Limited and Cresta Marakanelo Limited, as a testament to the group\u2019s commitment and support towards the campaign\u2019s success.<\/p>\n

Mr Kgosidiile said the donation would inspire other stakeholders to work effectively together to invest more, in order to achieve the desired results in the economic transformation agenda.<\/p>\n

CEDA chief finance officer, Mr Godfrey Mosimaneotsile said the vehicles were not just a means of transport to aid the campaign, \u2018but are a symbol of our commitment and mobility towards new mindset.<\/p>\n

They will aid in the crucial work of reaching out to communities, across our country, facilitating workshops and ensuring that the tools and teachings of the Mindset campaign are accessible to every Motswana\u2019.<\/p>\n

In his vote of thanks, the Chief of Staff, Mr Boyce Sebetela thanked the BDC Group and CEDA for their commitment in supporting the national call for a mindset change, stating that the secretariat was currently housed by BDC.<\/p>\n

Additionally, when the Mindset campaign started, both entities were supportive in the secretariat\u2019s efforts to drive its mandate, encouraging the incorporation of the \u2018A re Chencheng\u2019 logo in letterheads, electronics and any other company materials in an effort towards driving the campaign and creating awareness, Mr Sebetela stated.<\/p>\n
