Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>This year\u2019s Mother\u2019s Day will remain a memorable one for the Rantao matriarch, Josephine Rantao, who was honoured on stage by her jazz songstress daughter, Kearoma, during an Extended Play (EP) launch at Mo\u2019s Open Table Sunday. <\/b><\/p>\n

MmaRantao, as she is affectionately addressed by her children, got to join her daughter on the stage and together, they performed Marikhi from Kearoma\u2019s latest EP Ina Lebe-Ke A Roma, where she has also been featured.<\/p>\n

The two energetically performed the Sophia town feel track with the crowd taking videos and pictures. With her soothing vocals and although elderly age upon her, MmaRantao dressed in a marigold A-Line dress, showed her subtle moves.<\/p>\n

Her daughter, Kearoma clad in a matching honey elegant Victoria style gown, complemented her mother\u2019s relaxing sound with her clear gentle sharp high notes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got this talent from my mother and I am grateful for this gift,\u201d said Kearoma in an interview adding that it was a rare talent.<\/p>\n

She said her latest project, Ina Lebe-Ke A Roma told her musical journey of 25 years in the industry, hence she got to feature her family. Unable to hide here excitement, MmaRantao later shared in an interview how proud she was of her daughter as well as her children who were also using their God given talent for their livelihoods.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a thrilling experience to record with my daughter. For many years, she has been doing this alone, and I am grateful to the Lord for giving us this chance to work together,\u201d MmaRantao said, also appreciating her late husband for raising stars.<\/p>\n

She said raising their children in Christianity groomed them to their destinies, saying they encouraged them to take part in church choirs.<\/p>\n

Kearoma also featured her daughter, Thuto, on the title song. Thuto, who has made a name for herself in a different genre of Amapiano, also took to the stage and showcased the Rantao talent.<\/p>\n

Transitioning from back track to live performance can be a task for some artists, but Thuto was able to hold her verse well on a live stage. However, with more practice of live sets she is set to be a powerhouse.<\/p>\n

Ina Lebe-Ke A Roma has seven songs and was produced by Francois and Press Beats as well as SB Moiloa.<\/p>\n

It was recorded at Africa Meropa studios.<\/p>\n
