Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Father Mashango St John\u2019s Apostolic Church, Bishop Naledi Mophuting, has appreciated Sejelo Police Women\u2019s Network and the Botswana Police Service for their unwavering comfort and support during the trying times faced by the Church.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a touching moment at a recent church service, members of the Sejelo Police Women\u2019s Network conveyed heartfelt condolences to the church for the tragic loss of seven South African congregants in a devastating accident on April 28 at the A2 road, Kanye-Ranaka junction.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply grateful to the Botswana Police Service for their assistance and support to our congregation members who tragically lost their lives in the accident while returning home,\u201d Bishop Mophuting expressed. She acknowledged that the Church was still in the midst of a challenging period as efforts were underway to repatriate the bodies for burial, emphasising the value of the support received during the difficult time.<\/p>\n

Despite the ongoing ordeal, Bishop Mophuting found solace in the fact that those who were hospitalised or treated at Princess Marina and Kanye Adventist hospitals have recovered and returned home safely.<\/p>\n

The generous donation of P450 by the Sejelo Women\u2019s Network was met with immense gratitude by Bishop Mophuting, who announced that the funds would be directed towards assisting with the burial arrangements for the departed members.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply touched by the remarkable support extended by the Police in recent weeks. May God bless you abundantly for your kindness,\u201d Bishop Mophuting said.<\/p>\n

When giving messages of condolences, Inspector Gakololang Mosepele, highlighted the need to support the church in the face of the tremendous hardships and grief.<\/p>\n

\u201cLoss of life is always a tragedy, but it is especially heart-wrenching when it occurs suddenly and claims a significant number of lives, as it did in this unfortunate incident affecting the Church,\u201d Inspector Mosepele shared.<\/p>\n

She noted that as Woment\u2019s Network, the accident brought immense grief also to them as police personnel, adding that their thoughts and prayers goes to the families, friends and congregants of those who departed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we mourn the loss of these souls we should work towards preventing such accidents from recurring,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She further appealed to road users to exercise caution and display good behavior while on the road.<\/p>\n
