Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi participating in a virtual extraordinary SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government at the Office of the President.<\/b><\/p>\n

The summit deliberated on the impact of climate change on the region, particularly the El Nino induced drought, disasters and their impact on the region\u2019s economy, health, water and energy.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the summit, SADC Executive Secretary Mr Elias Magosi, said there was an urgent need for a collective action plan to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the El Nino-induced drought in the region.<\/p>\n
