Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The country\u2019s top eight female and male table tennis players will battle for supremacy in the Phoenix Assurance Super 8 tournament at Babusi Community Hall in Gaborone today.<\/b><\/p>\n

Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) public relations officer, Tshegofatso Malepa said in the ladies\u2019 category, the battle for supremacy would feature Tshepiso Rebatenne, Olorato Ramagapu, Tsholofelo Gaokgalemelwe, Emmah Lelatisitswe, Game Kebodiwang, Salome Matlhatsi, Annah Dick and Namibo Mbulawa.<\/p>\n

The top eight ranked men include Bakang Maloka, Masa Lesole, Kola Modisathebe, Boago Malobela, Tiro Lesomo, Momapti Chabe, William Olyn and Tshephang Mogala.<\/p>\n

Malepa further said the champions would walk away with P5 000, silver medalist P3 000 while third positioned players would each get P2 000 in both categories.<\/p>\n

The BTTA spokesperson also said the Top 8 tournament would also be used to prepare the players, who were national team players for the Region 5 games to be hosted by Angola from June 29 to July 1.<\/p>\n
