Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Losing a loved one as a result of death is probably the most unbearable pain ever and can be the most devastating feeling to one’s soul.<\/b><\/p>\n

It is during this trying times that the bereaved need emotional support the most.<\/p>\n

Therefore, during a visit to the Waleboa family in Serowe on Wednesday (May 22), President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi said it was befitting for him to pass by, to great them though it was a few days after the burial of one Mr Slumber Waleboa.<\/p>\n

In his message of condolences, President Masisi said everyone had their own day set by God to depart the world and encouraged the Waleboa family to stay strong.<\/p>\n

He said the late Waleboa was his friend whom he met at university.<\/p>\n

Narrating the life of Mr Waleboa, family representative, Ms Evelyn Waleboa said the deceased was someone who had immense passion for farming, despite his deteriorating health state until his death on May 8.<\/p>\n

She said Mr Waleboa got sick in 2017 but continued battling a chronic disease that put him in and out of the hospital until his demise.<\/p>\n

“He was a strong person who loved farming with all his heart. Even two weeks before his death, he was from the cattle post,” she said.<\/p>\n

Another family representative, Ms Pelaelo Waleboa thanked the President for the gesture, adding that the visit meant a lot to the family, especially by the Head of State.<\/p>\n

President Masisi was accompanied by First Lady Neo, Minister of Defence and Security Mr Kagiso Mmusi, Specially Elected Member of Parliament and also Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Mr Kgotla Autlwetse, Serowe South MP Mr Leepetswe Lesedi, Chancellor of the University of Botswana Ms Tebelelo Seretse and BDF Commander Lt. Gen Placid Segokgo.<\/p>\n
