Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Botswana Democratic Party newly elected councillor for Chobe Enclave Central Mooketsi Jani has passed away.<\/b><\/p>\n

The deceased\u2019s uncle, Mr Daniel Isaac confirmed Jani\u2019s death in an interview on November 3 that he died at Letsholathebe Referral Hospital in Maun, where he had been admitted.<\/p>\n

Jani, had been admitted at Kasane Primary Hospital, before being transferred to Letsholathebe Hospital.<\/p>\n

He said Jani, who won a council seat during the recent general elections, did not get the opportunity to celebrate his victory.<\/p>\n

Jani, got 391 votes defeating Botswana Congress Party\u2019s Sefela Gasitime with 74 votes and Botswana Patriotic Party\u2019s Francis Maome with 37 votes.<\/p>\n

Jani hails from Kachikau and was born in 1986.<\/p>\n
