{"id":65570,"date":"2025-03-18T07:15:53","date_gmt":"2025-03-18T07:15:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/botswana\/all-news\/access-bank-forecasts-150-profit-surge-for-2024"},"modified":"2025-04-19T19:08:44","modified_gmt":"2025-04-19T19:08:44","slug":"access-bank-forecasts-150-profit-surge-for-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/botswana\/all-news\/access-bank-forecasts-150-profit-surge-for-2024","title":{"rendered":"Access Bank Forecasts 150% Profit Surge for 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Botswana. <\/strong><\/span><b>Bank has issued a cautionary announcement because it has a reasonable degree of certainty that its 2024 profit will differ by at least 10% from the previous year\u2019s results.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Access Bank Botswana Plc has forecast a rise of 150 to 160 percent in its profit before tax for the year ending 31 December 2024, equating to between P78 million and P83 million.<\/p>\n<p>This projection marks a substantial rebound from the previous year\u2019s profit of P52 million, highlighting the bank\u2019s continued strong performance.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) Listing Requirements, Access Bank issued a cautionary announcement following a reasonable degree of certainty that its 2024 profit will differ by at least 10 percent from the previous year\u2019s results.<\/p>\n<p>People, infrastructure and technology<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs emphasised in our previous cautionary announcement on August 23, 2024, regarding our six-month performance, Access Bank Botswana has made significant investments in people, infrastructure, and technology following our acquisition by Access Bank Plc in 2021,\u201d it said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur performance continues to improve due to increased volumes in trading and non-interest income, driven by key innovative products that have been well-received by customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Access Bank\u2019s recent growth has been bolstered by strong customer uptake of newly launched products and services.<\/p>\n<p>Higher trading volumes<\/p>\n<p>The bank\u2019s focus on technological innovation and strategic investments has contributed to higher trading volumes and non-interest income, ensuring a positive financial outlook for 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The audited results are expected to be published by 31 March 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, shareholders are urged to exercise caution when dealing in the company\u2019s securities until the full results are officially announced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Botswana<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Botswana.
