Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The Botswana Football League (BFL) has slapped four players and officials with suspensions for violent misconduct that occurred in recent months.<\/b><\/p>\n

Township Rollers\u2019 security manager, Motlatsi Montsi has been suspended for violent conduct during the interrogation process of the messy scenes in the Gaborone derby played at the Royal Aria Stadium earlier this year.<\/p>\n

On the day, security at the Royal Aria was compromised as fans forced their way into the stadium leading to overcrowding.<\/p>\n

Sua Flamingoes\u2019 goalkeeper coach, Kagiso Tshelametsi has also been given some time away from the game after he was involved in a violent altercation against the team\u2019s assistant coach, Kopano Phakedi in a league match against Security Systems last month.<\/p>\n

The duo was suspended by the club with Phakedi reinstated while Tshelametsi remains on suspension until the end of May.<\/p>\n

Masitaoka\u2019s midfielder, Koketso Majafi and goalkeeper, Michael Pepukani of Morupule Wanderers also had a brush with the ‘law’.<\/p>\n

The two were involved in an on-field scuffle as their sides met at the National Stadium over the weekend. Both were given marching orders for their behaviour and that resulted in both players taking on each other in the tunnel to the dressing rooms.<\/p>\n

The BFL said the four will be on suspension as they wait to be brought before the Disciplinary Committee.<\/p>\n
