Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are already in full swing with Botswana\u2019s Zebras among 46 nations vying for the available 24 spots in the finals. However, the Zebras\u2019 campaign, despite good performances, has been pegged back by a defeat to Libya and a draw against former champions Tunisia.
\n<\/b>
\nIn both matches, the Zebras played bravely but failed to deliver the sucker punch. The results from the two opening matches mean the Zebras are the only team in Group J without a win. Tunisia have set the early pace with four points after a 4-0 shellacking of Equatorial Guinea on opening day and the 0-0 draw against Zebras. Equatorial Guinea recovered from their defeat to Tunisia to beat Libya 2-0 yesterday (Monday) and move second on the log with three points.<\/p>\n

Libya are third by virtue of the head-to-head consideration with Equatorial Guinea. The Zebras are still to find the net and their next meeting against Equatorial Guinea away in Malabo in the next match in September is now a make-or-break affair.<\/p>\n
