\nAs D-Day, July 29, draws near gamblers are equally increasing their chances of winning by playing as often as they can at the casino. After all, it is not everyday that one can walk away with such a huge figure as a ‘thank you’ for being a customer. One does not need to be a loyal customer of Moonlight to walk away with the big prize.<\/p>\n

Even those who are not regulars have won cars and cash in past draws that the casino has been hosting since March 31. Casino owner, Awasthi Bipin told Business Monitor that the competition is more of a ‘thank you’ to customers. Most importantly, the aim is to change the popular perception that gambling is all about taking money from the irresponsible and not gaining back anything.<\/p>\n

It is also not a way of persuading people to flock to gambling but a way of presenting gambling as harmless entertainment that peddles on luck. Not everyone will walk out a winner but a few lucky ones do benefit. Winning a car recently at the second epic draw held in Gaborone, an excited Selomi Nkonyane could hardly believe that he won himself a brand new Peugeot. \u201cI was just trying my luck.<\/p>\n

I think I put in around P2,000 and got a car worth over P100,000,\u201d he said. Without being a regular, luck was on Nkonyane\u2019s side, he was the first to draw and picked up a car. This meant that all that the other 10 hopefuls were getting was P20,000 prizes. One more car is up for grabs a day before July 29, meaning that after the brand new car prize is won, eyes will be on the P1 million prize the next day.<\/p>\n
