Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The Grand Palm Marquee was the place to be on Saturday as women from different walks of life and expertise gathered to share experiences. Guest speakers gave talks on different topics of note, which left attendees empowered and inspired during this year\u2019s Women\u2019s Etiquette Brunch (WEB22) initiative.
\n<\/b>
\nHeadline speakers made every listening moment count, beginning with the incomparable, paradigm-shifting Global Economist and former Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, whose captivating presentation was on the topic of ‘No Limits’. The whole room was energised by this opening talk, culminating in a longish question and answer interaction and Kenewendo almost missing her flight to another engagement she was scheduled for. Dr Keneilwe Molebatsi, psychiatrist and lecturer at the University of Botswana, took the whole room deep into introspection and reflection. Her talk on ‘Mental Health’, which honed in on trauma, felt like a well-executed group therapy session. \u201cWe all walked out of WEB22 better than how we walked in, at least by some margin,\u201d one of the attendees said.<\/p>\n

In staying true to the traditional and cultural maxim, ‘moja morago ke kgosi’, the graceful and light-hearted Balete leader, Kgosi Mosadi Seboko, who was the last speaker, gave a thought-provoking talk on ‘Gender As A Social Construct’, as she gave all the women present at the event insight into her journey to the regency. This was interwoven in stories of humble beginnings, personal struggles, self-encouragement, and triumph. As all these gems dropped from various speakers, they fell into the embracing hands and hearts of all present, who shared their feedback during and after the event. The event was moderated by the firebrand, the industry all-rounder that is Tumi Ramsden.<\/p>\n

This year’s event understood the assignment and delivered. Access Bank was at the helm of sponsoring this year\u2019s event and their presence was also bolstered by their head of retail, Grace Setlhare-Mankanku being one of the speakers who delivered a befitting talk on ‘Empathetic Leadership’ being a front-runner herself. Corporate counterparts who gave support to the event are Dulux, Carerra Holdings, Options, Aldo, Mosha Spa, Mascom, The Goodie Bag Factory with tasty confectionery treats, Sego Events provisioned a world-class setup, and Graham Beck that kept the mood bubbly throughout.<\/p>\n
