Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>FIFA accredited referee Letticia Viana continues to shine on international scenes after she has been appointed to officiate at the 2022 Women\u2019s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).<\/b><\/p>\n

The WAFCON tournament is one of Africa\u2019s biggest women\u2019s sport events and it will commence on July 2 in Morocco with the final scheduled for 23.<\/p>\n

Viana has been selected with 38 other match officials from various countries to take charge of one of the many games that will be played during the competition.<\/p>\n

It is not Viana\u2019s first time officiating in a big tournament having taken charge of international matches in the past.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s tournament will be the biggest following the expansion of the participants to 12 teams.<\/p>\n

The host Morocco will take on Burkina Faso, Senegal and Uganda in Group A, while Group B comprised of Cameroon, Zambia, Tunisia and Togo with the event set to be televised across Africa.<\/p>\n
