Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>FIFA accredited Referee Thulani Sibandze will represent Eswatini in the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup Challenge.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to sources close to the matter, Sibandze, who is the longest serving international referee with 10 years experience, will be accompanied by assistant referee Thembinkosi Magagula, who has a FIFA badge. Noteworthy is that Sibandze was also among the referees who were selected to officiate in the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) 2021 edition. His assistant from Eswatini in the past year was Petros Mbingo. Reached for comment, Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Media Officer Muzi Radebe said he was not aware of the latest development.<\/p>\n

\u201cI might not be aware of this because it is between COSAFA and the referee\u2019s association. However you can confirm with COSAFA to verify the list of Eswatini referees,\u201d said Radebe. The COSAFA Cup is sponsored by Hollywoodbets. The COSAFA Cup will be staged in Durban from July 5-17. Eswatini got a bronze medal last year. Teams that will compete in this 25th edition of the annual tournament Angola, Malawi, Comoros Islands and Lesotho, Botswana, Eswatini, Mauritius and Seychelles. Other teams are Senegal, South Africa, Zambia and Madagascar, Namibia and Mozambique.<\/p>\n
