Africa-Press<\/a> – Burundi<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Apr\u00e8s l\u2019adaptation de son roman \u00ab Petit Pays \u00bb en film, l\u2019artiste franco-rwandais signe un livre pour enfants, \u00ab L\u2019Ennui des apr\u00e8s-midi sans fin \u00bb. Et pr\u00e9voit pour novembre un nouvel album, \u00ab Lundi m\u00e9chant \u00bb.<\/p>\n

De loin, l\u2019ouvrage pourrait passer pour un 33-tours\u2026 Quand on le saisit, on a d\u2019abord le sentiment qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un livre jeunesse. C\u2019est cela et bien plus, un livre de po\u00e9sie, un beau-livre, qui contient en plus un CD deux-pistes. L\u2019Ennui des apr\u00e8s-midi sans fin, la derni\u00e8re folie sign\u00e9e Ga\u00ebl Faye, se d\u00e9robe. Et c\u2019est tant mieux pour un dr\u00f4le d\u2019objet qui nous parle d\u2019imaginaire, des chemins de traverse que prend l\u2019esprit quand le corps est au point mort.<\/p>\n

Belgique sous les tropiques<\/b><\/p>\n

N\u00e9 en 1982 au Burundi, d\u2019une m\u00e8re rwandaise et d\u2019un p\u00e8re fran\u00e7ais, Ga\u00ebl Faye nous prom\u00e8ne dans son enfance, \u00e0 l\u2019heure de la sieste, dans sa vieille maison de briques, \u00ab de la Belgique sous les tropiques \u00bb. La d\u00e9co de sa chambre convoque masques, troph\u00e9es, geckos. Dans son jardin d\u2019Eden \u00ab faute de pomme golden \u00bb, il trahit Dieu avec des mangues. Mais malgr\u00e9 les bananiers, la citronnelle, les gouttes qui tombent en avalanche et renvoient \u00e0 l\u2019Afrique, tous les enfants, ou les anciens enfants, qui ont eu la chance de s\u2019ennuyer, peuvent se retrouver dans les vers de Faye.<\/p>\n

\u00ab L\u2019ennui de mes apr\u00e8s-midi d\u2019enfance \u00e9tait un voyage o\u00f9 le temps m\u2019appartenait, \u00e9crit-il. Un espace o\u00f9 j\u2019ai fabriqu\u00e9 d\u2019immenses r\u00eaves, un monde sans commencement ni fin, comme une phrase qui s\u2019ach\u00e8ve par trois points de suspension\u2026 \u00bb Le texte du livre ne surprendra pas les fans : il reprend les lyrics d\u2019une chanson de son premier album solo, Pili Pili sur un croissant au beurre.<\/p>\n

Au dessin, Hyppolite signe des aquarelles oniriques qui cr\u00e9ent un contrepoint plein de douceur aux vers de l\u2019auteur. L\u2019artiste, BD reporter au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, au Congo et au Rwanda, a notamment travaill\u00e9 sur le g\u00e9nocide des Tutsi avec Patrick de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry pour l\u2019album La Fantaisie des Dieux (paru aux \u00e9ditions des Ar\u00e8nes). Il imagine pour sa collaboration avec Ga\u00ebl Faye une Afrique r\u00e9enchant\u00e9e, o\u00f9 la faune et la flore d\u00e9bordent du cadre.<\/p>\n

Avant cet ouvrage, publi\u00e9 le 30 septembre, l\u2019auteur avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 eu une ann\u00e9e charg\u00e9e. Son roman Petit Pays a \u00e9t\u00e9 adapt\u00e9 en film par \u00c9ric Barbier et a s\u00e9duit plus de 315 000 spectateurs dans les salles fran\u00e7aises, ce qui est un tr\u00e8s bon score, surtout en p\u00e9riode de Covid.<\/p>\n

Nouvel album le 6 novembre<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00ab L’Ennui des apr\u00e8s-midi sans fin \u00bb, de Ga\u00ebl Faye (texte) et Hippolyte (dessin) est publi\u00e9 par Les Ar\u00e8nes Jeunesse (28 pages, 19,90 euros). \u00a9 \u00c9ditions Les Ar\u00e8nes<\/p>\n

Un single, \u00ab Respire \u00bb, sorti fin ao\u00fbt, a annonc\u00e9 la sortie d\u2019un nouvel album pr\u00e9vu pour le 6 novembre, Lundi m\u00e9chant\u2026 Une expression de Bujumbura qui renvoie aux sorties en bo\u00eete le lundi soir, pour ne pas avoir \u00e0 attendre une semaine pour s\u2019amuser. Bref, l\u2019artiste nous invite \u00e0 nous enjailler en sortant des clous.<\/p>\n

Pr\u00e9vues sur l\u2019album, quelques surprises : un featuring du crooner jama\u00efcain-am\u00e9ricain nonag\u00e9naire Harry Belafonte, et un texte, \u00ab Seuls et vaincus \u00bb, sign\u00e9 Christiane Taubira et \u00e9crit peu de temps apr\u00e8s qu\u2019elle a quitt\u00e9 ses fonctions de ministre de la Justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
