Le pouvoir burundais a le sens de la fe\u0302te. A la veille de la journe\u0301e mondiale de la liberte\u0301 de la presse, il a eu un coup de ge\u0301nie pour ramener le pays sur le devant de la sce\u0300ne : confirmer la condamnation a\u0300 10 ans de prison de la seule femme journaliste en prison en Afrique. Une Burundaise. Qui dit mieux ?<\/p>\n

La justice burundaise a donc confirme\u0301, ce 2 mai, la condamnation de Floriane Irangabiye, une journaliste burundaise de 34 ans, a\u0300 10 ans de prison.<\/p>\n

Un message ? Une coi\u0308ncidence, une ironie ou un hasard du calendrier ? On ne saura peut-e\u0302tre jamais. Ce qui est su\u0302r, a\u0300 quelques jours de la visite annonce\u0301e du Secre\u0301taire Ge\u0301ne\u0301ral de l\u2019ONU, le timing est parfait pour faire passer un message. Certains avancent que c\u2019est un plan des de\u0301tracteurs de la politique du Pre\u0301sident Ndayishimiye qui travaille a\u0300 l\u2019ame\u0301lioration de l\u2019image du Burundi ternie par des anne\u0301es de verrouillage de l\u2019espace de\u0301mocratique…<\/p>\n

Toujours est-il que le crime de la journaliste est le crime par excellence. Un crime vieux comme le monde : \u00ab atteinte a\u0300 l\u2019inte\u0301grite\u0301 du territoire national \u00bb. Une accusation vague, grave, fourre-tout, extensible a\u0300 souhait. Une accusation qui s\u2019adapte a\u0300 tous les temps, sous tous les cieux et tous les re\u0301gimes politiques. Une accusation qui a envoye\u0301 des journalistes et autres e\u0301crivains mourir de froid au goulag ou se de\u0301shydrater de soif et de solitude dans les prisons du de\u0301sert.<\/p>\n

Mais, au fait, qu\u2019est-ce que la justice burundaise lui reproche concre\u0300tement ? Quels sont les e\u0301le\u0301ments a\u0300 charge ? Les faits. Au cours du proce\u0300s, le ministe\u0300re public a mentionne\u0301 une e\u0301mission diffuse\u0301e sur Radio Igicaniro en aou\u0302t 2022 dans laquelle \u00ab ses invite\u0301s critiquaient le gouvernement burundais et accusaient ses dirigeants d\u2019e\u0302tre des voleurs et de pie\u0301tiner les droits des citoyens. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Pour la justice burundaise, cela suffit pour prendre 10 ans de prison. Comment elle a laisse\u0301 ses invite\u0301s dire cela ? Elle est accuse\u0301e des propos tenus par ses invite\u0301s, ce qui aggrave l\u2019iniquite\u0301 de la condamnation.<\/p>\n

Mais tout va bien au Burundi et tout le monde le sait. Cette journaliste est finalement ennemie du pays. Une criminelle. Et notre justice a tranche\u0301. Hommes de peu de foi, croyez en la justice de notre pays. On n\u2019a pas besoin de preuve. Le Burundi est un pays chre\u0301tien a\u0300 plus de 90 %. Heureux ceux qui croient sans voir. C\u2019est e\u0301crit.<\/p>\n
