Au Cameroun, posse\u0301der un me\u0301dia, c’est posse\u0301der une arme. C’est l’une des conclusions que l’on peut tirer du portrait exclusif que Jeune Afrique consacre a\u0300 Bruno Bidjang, ancien bras droit de Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga, patron du groupe L’Anecdote, proprie\u0301taire notamment de la chai\u0302ne Vision 4. Selon le magazine, Bidjang ne s’est pas simplement forge\u0301 une carrie\u0300re dans le journalisme: il s’est constitue\u0301 en porte-voix d’un re\u0301seau d’influence, multipliant les prises de position publiques favorables au clan de son patron, lui-me\u0302me tre\u0300s introduit aupre\u0300s des caciques du re\u0301gime.<\/p>\n

Ce mode\u0300le \u2014 un homme de me\u0301dias adoube\u0301 par un homme d’affaires lui-me\u0302me adoube\u0301 par le pouvoir \u2014 est au c\u0153ur du paysage me\u0301diatique camerounais. Et l’affaire Martinez Zogo en a re\u0301ve\u0301le\u0301, dans le sang, les de\u0301rives les plus extre\u0302mes.<\/p>\n

Le meurtre d’un journaliste et ses zones d’ombre<\/p>\n

Le 17 janvier 2023, l’animateur de radio Martinez Zogo est enleve\u0301 et assassine\u0301. Jeune Afrique rappelle que les enque\u0302teurs se concentrent rapidement sur des personnes lie\u0301es au groupe L’Anecdote et soupc\u0327onnent Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga d’en e\u0302tre le commanditaire. Bruno Bidjang, alors directeur ge\u0301ne\u0301ral du groupe depuis seulement dix-sept jours, est interpelle\u0301 et de\u0301tenu deux semaines au Secre\u0301tariat d’E\u0301tat a\u0300 la De\u0301fense. Il est toujours poursuivi, selon le magazine, pour \u00ab complicite\u0301 de torture et se\u0301questration \u00bb.<\/p>\n

L’affaire avait mis en lumie\u0300re un fait troublant, que Jeune Afrique documente avec pre\u0301cision: Bryan Fombor, un jeune homme de 27 ans assassine\u0301 de\u0300s 2020 dans des circonstances lie\u0301es a\u0300 l’entourage de Bidjang, de\u0301tenait des vide\u0301os compromettantes pour plusieurs personnalite\u0301s et se serait livre\u0301 a\u0300 du chantage. Des affaires dans les affaires, des silences organise\u0301s, des questions sans re\u0301ponse \u2014 autant d’indices d’un milieu ou\u0300 l’information est moins un bien public qu’une monnaie d’e\u0301change.<\/p>\n

Ce qui est peut-e\u0302tre le plus re\u0301ve\u0301lateur dans les informations livre\u0301es en exclusivite\u0301 par Jeune Afrique, c’est la reconversion de Bidjang en porte-voix officieux du clan Ngoh Ngoh a\u0300 l’approche de la pre\u0301sidentielle d’octobre 2025. Apre\u0300s avoir e\u0301te\u0301 la voix d’Amougou Belinga, il devient celle du secre\u0301taire ge\u0301ne\u0301ral de la pre\u0301sidence, luttant, selon le magazine, \u00ab pied a\u0300 pied contre les militants proches de l’opposant Issa Tchiroma Bakary \u00bb.<\/p>\n

La mue est comple\u0300te: de journaliste a\u0300 directeur ge\u0301ne\u0301ral, de de\u0301tenu a\u0300 invite\u0301 VIP du palais, de de\u0301fenseur d’un patron emprisonne\u0301 a\u0300 communicant du cercle pre\u0301sidentiel. Une trajectoire qui interroge profonde\u0301ment sur l’inde\u0301pendance re\u0301elle des me\u0301dias camerounais et sur la capacite\u0301 du quatrie\u0300me pouvoir a\u0300 jouer son ro\u0302le de contre-pouvoir dans un syste\u0300me ou\u0300, comme le re\u0301ve\u0300le Jeune Afrique, les re\u0301dactions sont souvent les premie\u0300res victimes des guerres de clans.<\/p>\n
