Africa-Press<\/a> – Cameroun<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>In two separate condolence messages, traditional rulers of the North West Region and those of the South West Region said Sultan Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya was a \u201cmentor\u201d that will be greatly missed.<\/p>\n

The condolence letter from the North West House of Chiefs read: \u201cThe President of the North West House of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty Fon Yakum Kevin Teuvih on behalf of the North West House of Chiefs, on behalf of the Fons of the North West Region and on his personal behalf, expresses his heartfelt condolences to the Senate, People of the Bamouns and to the Bamoun Royal Family following the surprising disappearance of Sultan Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya.<\/p>\n

\u201cSultan Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya was a source of inspiration to all and served as a mentor to many traditional rulers. I remember him as a father to whom I ran for counsel in diverse areas. His disappearance is a great loss to the country and will be greatly missed by traditional rulers of the North West Region.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a condolence message from Chiefs of the South West Region to the Royal Family and Bamoun People, His Majesty Chief Mafany Njie Martin, President of the South West Chiefs Conference (SWECC) wrote:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe traditional rulers of the South West Region learned with much consternation the transitional journey to the land of his ancestors, of His Majesty Sultan Senator Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya, Sultan of Foumban and King of the Bamouns.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis charismatic political and traditional figure who rendered great service to the Nation and to his people was a father and a mentor to the Chieftaincy institution.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe South West chiefs hereby solemnly present their heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family of the Sultan and to the Bamoun people.<\/p>\n
