\u2022 Ce mardi 7 d\u00e9cembre, elle a re\u00e7u les f\u00e9licitations de Paul Biya<\/p>\n

Une semaine apr\u00e8s sa distinction comme Prix Nobel alternatif 2021, Mme Marthe Wandou re\u00e7oit les f\u00e9licitations du chef d’Etat camerounais dans une lettre que ce dernier lui a adress\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Cet important prix vous honore et vient r\u00e9compenser les actions de l’ONG ALDEPA. Mes sinc\u00e8res f\u00e9licitations \u00e0 Madame Marthe Wandou, laur\u00e9ate du Prix Right Livelihood Award 2021. Gr\u00e2ce au soutien de son ONG ALDEPA, de nombreuses familles d\u00e9munies dans l’Extr\u00eame-Nord et dans la zone du Bassin du Lac Tchad ont pu surmonter leurs traumatismes\u00a0\u00bb, peut-on lire dans la lettre de Paul Biya \u00e0 la laur\u00e9ate.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est qui Marthe Wandou ?<\/p>\n

La Camerounaise a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9e \u00ab pour avoir construit un mod\u00e8le de protection communautaire de l’enfance face \u00e0 l’insurrection terroriste et \u00e0 la violence sexiste dans la r\u00e9gion du lac Tchad au Cameroun \u00bb.<\/p>\n

La juriste Marthe Wandou est une militante des questions de genre et de paix. Depuis les ann\u00e9es 1990, son travail a pour objectif de pr\u00e9venir et de lutter contre les violences sexuelles faites aux enfants, en particulier aux filles, et d\u2019assurer la prise en charge d\u2019enfants ayant surv\u00e9cu \u00e0 ces violences.<\/p>\n

Par le biais de son organisation, Action locale pour un d\u00e9veloppement participatif et autog\u00e9r\u00e9 (ALDEPA), qu\u2019elle a fond\u00e9e en 1998, Marthe Wandou \u0153uvre pour le bien-\u00eatre des filles \u00e0 travers une approche holistique bas\u00e9e sur l\u2019\u00e9ducation, les soins psychosociaux et l\u2019assistance juridique.<\/p>\n

A ce jour, plus de 50.000 jeunes filles ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 des travaux de l\u2019ADELPA, qui prend racine dans la mobilisation de l\u2019ensemble des communaut\u00e9s, notamment \u00e0 travers les parents, les enfants et les leaders communautaires.<\/p>\n

L\u2019organisation a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9radication progressive de la pratique des mariages pr\u00e9coces. Elle a aussi contribu\u00e9 au renforcement de diverses comp\u00e9tences scolaires et d\u2019ordre g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, ainsi qu\u2019au renforcement des capacit\u00e9s des enfants et des acteurs en charge de la protection de l\u2019enfance.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ALDEPA a aussi aid\u00e9 plusieurs familles \u00e0 engager des poursuites pour des affaires de viol, d\u2019enl\u00e8vement et de violence physique.<\/p>\n
