Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>L\u2019annonce du d\u00e9c\u00e8s d jeune Ibrahim Bello le 1er janvier 2022 choque toujours l\u2019opinion. Le journaliste A. Mounde Njimbam proche du dossier d\u00e9plore le laxisme avec lequel le dossier de l\u2019adolescent tortur\u00e9 par des agents de police, a \u00e9t\u00e9 trait\u00e9. Dans cette tribune, il a appelle \u00e0 la fin de la banalisation des actes de torture au Cameroun.<\/p>\n

Fr\u00eale, souriant \u00e0 la vie, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 amput\u00e9 de ses r\u00eaves, de ses petites joies de jeune ; de ses jambes. Ses deux jambes, flagell\u00e9es, \u00e0 Ombessa, par d’atroces coups de fouet, pire des d\u00e9charges \u00e9lectriques de policiers aussi sadiques qu’horribles. Des actes perp\u00e9tr\u00e9s au m\u00e9pris de la loi, de la proc\u00e9dure, des trait\u00e9s et conventions conclus par le Cameroun, de l’humain, simplement. Ces pratiques, devenues normes, banalis\u00e9es par une surpuissance usurp\u00e9e qui r\u00e8gne dans la p\u00e9nombre des cellules de nos commissariats.<\/p>\n

O\u00f9 la politique p\u00e9nale devait \u00eatre intraitable et rapide \u00e0 sanctionner de tels actes, l’on a multipli\u00e9 les audiences au gr\u00e9 du z\u00e8le des tortionnaires. O\u00f9 l’on devait mettre un point d’honneur en prendre en charge une victime de tortures, lui prodiguer des soins adapt\u00e9s aux complications de l’op\u00e9ration d’amputation de jambes, l’on a laiss\u00e9 trainer un temps trop long. Ibrahim Bello est mort sans voir triompher la Justice. Mort sans percevoir ses droits : une indemnisation cons\u00e9quente. Mort, les jambes tum\u00e9fi\u00e9s !<\/p>\n

Les bourreaux de Bello se d\u00e9fient de la justice, malgr\u00e9 leur condamnation. Comme d’autres tortionnaires, ils ne tireront pas les cons\u00e9quences de leurs actes. L’Etat, qui aurait du prendre en charge int\u00e9gralement ses soins, a g\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 la petite semaine le cas atroce d’un de nos concitoyens. Laisser le quotidien de Bello \u00e0 la seule responsabilit\u00e9 de l’ONG Mandela Center, de ses partenaires et de ses soutiens.<\/p>\n

Le cas Bello doit parler \u00e0 chacun de nous, car nul n’est \u00e0 l’abri de ces abus, devenus normes. Nous devons, chacun, veiller, \u00e0 ce que la mort de Bello, signe la fin. La fin d’une banalisation de la torture. La fin d’un laxisme judiciaire fatal. La fin d’une politique d’assistance sociale incertaine.<\/p>\n

S’engager pour cela, n’est \u00eatre l’opposant de personne. S’engager pour que le cas Bello soit une le\u00e7on pour l’avenir n’est salir l’image d’aucun pays. Le faire, c’est \u00eatre HUMAIN ; tr\u00e8s humain.<\/p>\n
