Il y a \u00e9t\u00e9 intern\u00e9 apr\u00e8s une chute. \u00ab Apr\u00e8s Les Demi-Finales \u00e0 Douala je suis tomb\u00e9 malade il m’a fallu du courage pour repartir sur Yaound\u00e9 je ne pouvais plus supporter la douleur c’est le pr\u00e9sident de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration camerounaise de Football Samuel ETO’O Fils qui m’a donn\u00e9 de l’argent pour me faire soigner \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital C\u0152UR DE VIE \u00e0 Dogbong o\u00f9 je suis actuellement merci beaucoup Au pr\u00e9sident Samuel ETO’O Fils \u00bb, raconte Ngando Pickett.<\/p>\n

Depuis plus de 40 ans, Ngando \u00ab Dans la sauce ! \u00bb Pickett soutient les Lions indomptables. Bariol\u00e9 de la t\u00eate aux pieds, chanteur, danseur et ambianceur, ce personnage atypique est \u00e0 la t\u00eate d\u2019une troupe de supporters d\u00e9cha\u00een\u00e9s. Autant dire qu\u2019ils se font tr\u00e8s remarqu\u00e9s dans cette CAN 2022 au Cameroun.<\/p>\n

Le Cameroun s\u2019est class\u00e9 en t\u00eate du groupe A au premier tour de la CAN 2022 et va affronter les Comores en huiti\u00e8mes de finale, lundi 24 janvier au stade d\u2019Olemb\u00e9. Une qualification obtenue gr\u00e2ce aux buts de Vincent Aboubakar, aux bonnes r\u00e9actions de l\u2019\u00e9quipe, et peut-\u00eatre aussi gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Ngando Pickett et sa bande.<\/p>\n

Lui en est s\u00fbr : sans leur soutien, les Lions indomptables \u00ab ne sont rien \u00bb. Au Cameroun, les supporters de l\u2019\u00e9quipe nationale se comptent par millions. Mais Ngando Pickett est unique. \u00ab Nous avons une passion simple : l\u2019amour total envers nos Lions indomptables \u00bb, explique-t-il simplement en montrant ses \u00ab gars \u00bb qui l\u2019accompagnent.<\/p>\n

M\u00eame \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, on redoute sa pr\u00e9sence dans les tribunes, rigole la mascotte officielle des supporters depuis la CAN 1998 au Burkina Faso : \u00ab Quand on sait que Ngando est l\u00e0, on bloque les portes. On dit que si Ngando passe, c’est fini, les Lions gagnent. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Henri Mouy\u00e9b\u00e9 \u2013 son nom \u00e0 l’\u00e9tat civil \u2013 est n\u00e9 il y a 68 ans \u00e0 Douala. Au Cameroun, tout le monde le conna\u00eet sous le nom de Ngando Pickett. C\u2019est sa tante qui l\u2019a rebaptis\u00e9 affectueusement Ngando (\u00ab ca\u00efman \u00bb en langue douala). Pickett, \u00e7a lui vient de la danse, une autre passion, et de l\u2019artiste am\u00e9ricain Wilson Pickett, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre dans les ann\u00e9es 1960-1970.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Un danseur formidable. Comme je dansais tr\u00e8s bien, mes amis m’ont surnomm\u00e9 Wilson Pickett. Ensuite, on a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 m’appeler Ngando Pickett \u00bb, d\u00e9veloppe l\u2019int\u00e9ress\u00e9. Clin d\u2019\u0153il : parmi ses amis, il y avait le p\u00e8re de l\u2019actuel n\u00b027 des Lions indomptables, James L\u00e9a Siliki. Le foot, d\u00e9j\u00e0. Le foot, toujours.<\/p>\n

En 1972, lors de la premi\u00e8re CAN jou\u00e9e au Cameroun, Ngando Pickett a vu son \u00e9quipe \u00e9chouer en demi-finale. Aujourd’hui, impossible pour Ngando et sa bande d’imaginer une autre nation soulever le troph\u00e9e, le 6 f\u00e9vrier : \u00ab Ma mission, c’est d’apporter mon soutien, d’\u00eatre le 12e homme derri\u00e8re les Lions indomptables, de les accompagner jusqu’\u00e0 la finale. Nous allons remporter cette coupe. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Voil\u00e0 plusieurs d\u00e9cennies que Ngando Pickett suit l\u2019\u00e9quipe du Cameroun sur les cinq continents. Les Lions indomptables n’ont plus de secret pour lui. Et il est cat\u00e9gorique : \u00ab La g\u00e9n\u00e9ration 1980-1994 est la meilleure \u00bb et Roger Milla \u00ab reste le joueur supr\u00eame \u00bb. \u00ab Tout le monde le sait, m\u00eame si Samuel Eto\u2019o est venu apr\u00e8s. Lui-m\u00eame respecte Roger Milla. \u00bb<\/p>\n
