Africa-Press<\/a> – Cameroun<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Comme d\u2019autres Etats africains tels que Djibouti, l\u2019Angola, la R\u00e9publique du Congo, l\u2019Ethiopie, le Kenya et la Zambie, le Cameroun est \u00ab fortement expos\u00e9 aux pr\u00eats chinois \u00bb, selon l\u2019institution financi\u00e8re panafricaine.<\/p>\n

Selon les statistiques publi\u00e9es par la Banque africaine de d\u00e9veloppement (BAD), dans son rapport 2021 sur les perspectives \u00e9conomiques de l\u2019Afrique, la Chine d\u00e9tient, \u00e0 elle seule, 61,3% de la dette bilat\u00e9rale du Cameroun. Ce chiffre correspond, souligne la m\u00eame source, \u00e0 27,4% de la dette totale du pays. Celle-ci se chiffrait \u00e0 10\u2009164 milliards de FCFA au 30 septembre 2020 (45,8% du PIB), selon la Caisse autonome d\u2019amortissement (CAA), l\u2019organisme en charge de la gestion de la dette publique.<\/p>\n

Fort de ce lourd endettement vis \u00e0 vis de l\u2019Empire du Milieu, le Cameroun appara\u00eet sur la liste des pays \u00ab actuellement en situation de surendettement ou jug\u00e9s \u00e0 haut risque de surendettement \u00bb, estime la BAD.<\/p>\n

Cette grosse d\u00e9pendance du Cameroun vis-\u00e0-vis des pr\u00eats chinois est apparue au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9e 2010, avec le lancement dans le pays, d\u00e8s 2012, de grands projets d\u2019infrastructures dits structurants. La construction de tous ces barrages hydro\u00e9lectriques, ponts, routes, port de Kribi\u2026 a \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9e par la Chine, notamment la banque publique Eximbank China.<\/p>\n

En juillet 2019, pour desserrer l\u2019\u00e9tau des remboursements autour du Cameroun, cette banque chinoise a d\u00fb restructurer la dette \u00e0 elle due par le pays. Selon le minist\u00e8re camerounais de l\u2019\u00c9conomie, la banque publique chinoise d\u2019import-export a accept\u00e9 de r\u00e9\u00e9chelonner 70 % de la somme (int\u00e9r\u00eats non compris) que devrait lui rembourser le Cameroun sur la p\u00e9riode allant de juillet 2019 \u00e0 mars 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
