Le lancement des travaux de formulation de ce programme a eu lieu le 22 mars 2022 \u00e0 Yaound\u00e9, la capitale camerounaise.<\/p>\n<p>Dot\u00e9 d\u2019un financement de 21,3 milliards de FCFA pourvu par le Fonds international de d\u00e9veloppement agricole (FIDA), ce programme va couvrir cinq r\u00e9gions sur les 10 que compte le Cameroun, apprend-on. Selon le minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00c9levage, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 divers appuis et autres mesures d\u2019accompagnement des pisciculteurs, ce programme devrait contribuer \u00e0 booster la production aquacole nationale, de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 pouvoir progressivement atteindre les 100\u2009000 tonnes vis\u00e9es par le gouvernement.<\/p>\n<p>Pour rappel, les actions de promotion et de d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019aquaculture intensifi\u00e9es par l\u2019\u00c9tat camerounais et ses partenaires depuis quelques ann\u00e9es ont pour objectif principal de r\u00e9duire la facture des importations de poissons, qui contribuent \u00e0 d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibrer la balance commerciale du pays.<\/p>\n<p>Par exemple, pour le seul premier trimestre 2020, le pays a officiellement import\u00e9 57\u2009008 tonnes de poissons congel\u00e9s, pour un montant total de 38,9 milliards de FCFA.
