Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>(Investir au Cameroun) – La filiale au Cameroun du cimentier nig\u00e9rian Dangote affiche des performances haussi\u00e8res au cours de l\u2019exercice 2021, selon les r\u00e9sultats que l\u2019entreprise vient de publier. On apprend ainsi que Dangote Cameroun a vendu 1,4 million de tonnes de ciment en 2021, en hausse de 3% par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e d\u2019avant.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 cette hausse, les parts de march\u00e9 du groupe nig\u00e9rian sont en baisse. Ils sont \u00e9valu\u00e9s \u00e0 34% au cours de la p\u00e9riode sous revue, contre 38% en 2020. Ce qui veut dire que l\u2019entreprise n\u2019a pas pu profiter assez de la hausse de la demande enregistr\u00e9e en 2021. En effet, selon les chiffres de Dangote, la taille du march\u00e9 local est pass\u00e9e de 3,5 \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 4 millions de tonnes entre 2020 et 2021, soit une hausse d\u2019environ 14%.<\/p>\n

L\u2019entreprise explique cette hausse par une augmentation des investissements dans les projets de construction au Cameroun. \u00ab\u2009Le march\u00e9 est principalement tir\u00e9 par des projets de construction individuels et des lotissements gouvernementaux. Nous avons vu une augmentation des projets de construction avant la Coupe d\u2019Afrique des Nations qui a eu lieu au d\u00e9but de 2022\u2009\u00bb, d\u00e9clare la multinationale.<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, Dangote Cameroun justifie sa perte de part de march\u00e9 par des performances ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9es par une augmentation du co\u00fbt du clinker en raison de la hausse mondiale des prix du transport et des d\u00e9fis globaux de la cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement mondiale. Mais, il faut dire qu\u2019avec des capacit\u00e9s de production limit\u00e9e \u00e0 1,5 tonne par an, l\u2019entreprise a tr\u00e8s peu de marge de progression. Il n\u2019est donc pas exclu que Cimencam, son principal concurrent, qui a des capacit\u00e9s de production plus importantes (2,2 tonnes qui devraient passer \u00e0 2,5 en 2023), ait profit\u00e9 de la hausse de la demande pour accroitre ses parts de march\u00e9.<\/p>\n
