Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>L\u2019information est connue depuis la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2021. La taxe sur les transferts d\u2019argent a \u00e9t\u00e9 fix\u00e9e \u00e0 0,2% par la Loi des finances de 2022. Celle-ci est aussit\u00f4t entr\u00e9e en vigueur, d\u00e8s le 1er janvier de l\u2019ann\u00e9e en cours. Mais dans le souci de m\u00e9nager leurs diff\u00e9rents clients, les deux op\u00e9rateurs de t\u00e9l\u00e9phonie mobile, MTN et Orange qui exercent dans ce domaine au Cameroun, ont chacun r\u00e9ajust\u00e9 les prix suivant les instructions du gouvernement.<\/p>\n

Et malheureusement, les prix propos\u00e9s ne sont pas du go\u00fbt des usagers qui crient \u00e0 une augmentation vertigineuse qui ne tient pas compte du niveau de vie des Camerounais. Pire, cette grille tarifaire a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue sans aucune consultation des d\u00e9fenseurs des droits des consommateurs. Ainsi, les retraits d\u2019argent de 10.000 FCFA et 50.000 FCFA qui co\u00fbtaient avant le 1er janvier respectivement \u00e0 150 FCFA et 800 FCFA se font d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 200 et 1.000 FCFA.<\/p>\n

La situation est plus tendue encore chez les tenanciers des call-box qui d\u00e9noncent cette m\u00e9thode des op\u00e9rateurs incrimin\u00e9s. Pour eux, MTN et Orange ont augment\u00e9 les frais des retraits et d\u2019envois d\u2019argent, mais ont par ailleurs baiss\u00e9 les frais des commissions qui leur permettaient de mener \u00e0 bien leurs t\u00e2ches. Toute chose qui ne profite qu\u2019\u00e0 ces deux op\u00e9rateurs au d\u00e9triment des facilitateurs ind\u00e9pendants qu\u2019ils sont.<\/p>\n

Pour rappel, les tenanciers de call-box, les call-boxeurs, comme on les appelle au Cameroun, sont les revendeurs des cr\u00e9dits de communication et facilitateurs des transactions financi\u00e8res entre les op\u00e9rateurs de t\u00e9l\u00e9phonie mobile et les clients. Chacun s\u2019installe \u00e0 son propre compte apr\u00e8s avoir souscrit aux formalit\u00e9s exig\u00e9es par l\u2019op\u00e9rateur concern\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Cette situation fait couler beaucoup d\u2019encre au Cameroun et de nombreux usagers sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 se d\u00e9sabonner des deux op\u00e9rateurs si rien ne change d\u2019ici quelques jours. M\u00eame constat chez les call-boxeurs qui menacent d\u2019abandonner cette activit\u00e9 qui ne leur permet plus de gagner leur vie.<\/p>\n
