Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Il \u00e9tait le favori des bookmakers pour diriger la Banque de d\u00e9veloppement des \u00c9tats de l\u2019Afrique centrale (BDEAC), dans la mesure o\u00f9 c\u2019est le tour du Cameroun, son pays, d\u2019assurer la pr\u00e9sidence selon le principe de rotation. Dieudonn\u00e9 Evou Mekou, 61 ans, a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9 par Paul Biya pour pr\u00e9sider aux destin\u00e9es de la banque r\u00e9gionale de d\u00e9veloppement commune au Tchad, \u00e0 la Centrafrique, au Gabon, au Congo, au Cameroun et \u00e0 la Guin\u00e9e \u00e9quatoriale.<\/p>\n

Son destin est li\u00e9 \u00e0 celui du chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat camerounais dont il est le neveu (il est le fils de sa s\u0153ur cadette \u00c9lisabeth Mekou). Dieudonn\u00e9 Evou Mekou a pass\u00e9 une bonne partie de sa jeunesse, et donc de sa scolarit\u00e9, chez cet oncle en pleine ascension politico-administrative sous Ahmadou Ahidjo, en compagnie entre autres de Louis Paul Motaze, l\u2019actuel ministre des Finances.<\/p>\n
