Moins de deux ans apr\u00e8s son arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 la t\u00eate de la banque fran\u00e7aise Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale, Nicolas Pichou c\u00e8de la place \u00e0 Sterghios Dassarecos.<\/p>\n

Sterghios Dassarecos avant d\u2019arriver au Cameroun \u00e9tait le Directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale Mozambique. Ce dernier a \u00e9t\u00e9 re\u00e7u le lundi 6 juin 2022 par le ministre des Finances Louis Paul Motaze. Rencontre \u00e0 laquelle a \u00e9galement pris part, la Directrice de la r\u00e9gion Afrique Centrale et de l\u2019Est du groupe fran\u00e7ais Mar\u00e8me Mbaye Ndiaye.<\/p>\n

A 48 ans Sterghios Dassarecos, expert financier prend la t\u00eate d\u2019une banque en pleine croissance. Malgr\u00e9 le contexte \u00e9conomique difficile en 2020 marqu\u00e9 par la crise sanitaire au coronavirus, la SGC a octroy\u00e9 802 milliards de FCFA (1,4 milliard d\u2019euro) de cr\u00e9dit se distinguant comme leader sur ce segment avec 19,2% de part de march\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Suite \u00e0 un protocole d\u2019accord sign\u00e9 avec l\u2019Etat, la SGC a ouvert une ligne de cr\u00e9dit d\u00e9di\u00e9e au financement des Petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) \u00e0 hauteur de 25 milliards de FCFA en vue de soutenir le secteur productif \u00e0 se positionner pour l\u2019apr\u00e8s Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, au cours des deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la SGC s\u2019est particuli\u00e8rement distingu\u00e9 comme l\u2019un des principaux animateurs du march\u00e9 des titres publics avec 127 milliards de FCFA (193 millions d\u2019euro) mobilis\u00e9s, soit une hausse de souscriptions de 500 % ce qui lui a permis de figurer au peloton de t\u00eate de meilleur Sp\u00e9cialiste en valeur du tr\u00e9sor (SVT).<\/p>\n

Cependant, Sterghios Dassarecos arrive au moment o\u00f9 les avis sur la digitalisation de la banque fran\u00e7aise sont mitig\u00e9s. En effet, SGC a ferm\u00e9 son porte-monnaie \u00e9lectronique (Yup) sur le march\u00e9 de l\u2019Afrique et le Cameroun est concern\u00e9. Peut-\u00eatre reviendra-t-il sur ce dossier qui jusqu\u2019ici ne trouve pas de r\u00e9ponses claires dans l\u2019esprit des souscripteurs et des travailleurs. Pour rappel, c\u2019est le 1er juillet que Yup va d\u00e9finitivement quitter la sc\u00e8ne mobile money en Afrique.<\/p>\n
