Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Investir au Cameroun) – Le 5 juillet 2022, la toute premi\u00e8re boutique de l\u2019enseigne fran\u00e7aise BUT ouvrira ses portes au Cameroun. Ce sera dans le centre commercial PlaYce, que le duo Carrefour-Cfao Retail inaugurera le m\u00eame jour au quartier Ekoudou, en face du palais des sports de Yaound\u00e9.<\/p>\n

De sources officielles, l\u2019ouverture de ce premier magasin BUT donnera le top d\u00e9part pour le d\u00e9ploiement d\u2019un programme d\u2019investissements de 5 ans, qui permettra \u00e0 Duval Arno Distribution (DAD), une co-entreprise nouvellement cr\u00e9\u00e9e par les groupes Arno et Duval, de prendre ses marques dans le secteur de la grande distribution au Cameroun et en Afrique.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u2009DAD, qui entend construire 9 magasins d\u2019ici la fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9voit de d\u00e9penser dans les 5 prochaines ann\u00e9es, pas moins de 40 milliards de FCFA dans la construction et l\u2019am\u00e9nagement de ses grandes surfaces. L\u2019ambition d\u2019ici 2030 est l\u2019ouverture d\u2019une trentaine de nouveaux supermarch\u00e9s de proximit\u00e9 au Cameroun et une quinzaine de magasins d\u2019ameublement et de d\u00e9coration\u2009\u00bb, annonce DAD, qui, apprend-on, exploitera notamment les enseignes BUT et Intermarch\u00e9 au Cameroun.<\/p>\n

Concurrence<\/b><\/p>\n

Enseigne fran\u00e7aise sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la distribution des produits d\u2019ameublement et l\u2019\u00e9lectrom\u00e9nager, BUT exploite plus de 300 magasins dans l\u2019hexagone. Enseigne commerciale plut\u00f4t g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste, Intermarch\u00e9 est quant \u00e0 lui l\u2019op\u00e9rateur de grande distribution qui a le plus capt\u00e9 de nouvelles parts de march\u00e9 en France au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2020, apprend-on officiellement.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9ploiement de ces enseignes, \u00e0 la faveur du partenariat strat\u00e9gique entre le Grecque Arno, op\u00e9rateur bien connu dans la distribution des biens de consommation au Cameroun depuis les ann\u00e9es 60, et le groupe familial Duval, n\u00e9 dans l\u2019immobilier en France, mais qui s\u2019est ensuite diversifi\u00e9 et internationalis\u00e9\u2009; va permettre de doper la concurrence dans le secteur de la grande distribution. Pour rappel, au Cameroun, les enseignes internationales, notamment fran\u00e7aises (Carrefour, Casino, BAO, Super U, Supeco\u2026), rivalisent d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u2019offres aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des locaux (Dovv, Santa Lucia, Fokou, etc.).<\/p>\n

Pour s\u2019ins\u00e9rer dans ce secteur jadis domin\u00e9 par les \u00e9trangers, les op\u00e9rateurs locaux ont fait le pari de la proximit\u00e9, en ouvrant des boutiques dans de nombreux quartiers des villes de Yaound\u00e9 et Douala. Sur ce terrain de la proximit\u00e9, ces locaux devront d\u00e9sormais faire face \u00e0 une offre \u00e9trang\u00e8re, de plus en plus agressive. Y compris dans la vente en gros \u00e0 des prix d\u00e9gressifs (plus on ach\u00e8te, plus le produit revient moins cher \u00e0 l\u2019unit\u00e9, NDLR), avec des enseignes de cash and carry telles que BAO et plus r\u00e9cemment Supeco.<\/p>\n
