Le redoutable chef rebelle s\u00e9paratiste, monarque auto-proclam\u00e9 du d\u00e9partement du Lebialem dans la r\u00e9gion du Sud-Ouest est tomb\u00e9 dans un guet-apens de l\u2019arm\u00e9e camerounaise dans la nuit du mardi 12 juillet 2022 \u00e0 Menji dans les encablures de la localit\u00e9 de Takwai, limitrophe au Upper Bayang. Les forces de d\u00e9fense et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 se sont saisies de sa d\u00e9pouille et l\u2019ont transport\u00e9e \u00e0 bord d\u2019un h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re vers Kumba. Et depuis elle est brandie comme un troph\u00e9e de guerre.<\/p>\n

Alors que de nombreuses populations \u00e9taient encore sceptiques et doutaient de la v\u00e9racit\u00e9 de cette nouvelle du d\u00e9c\u00e8s de Field Marshall, l\u2019arm\u00e9e a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019exposer sa d\u00e9pouille dans les rues de Kumba (Sud-Ouest) ce vendredi 15 juillet 2022 pour confirmation. De nombreuses populations se sont rassembl\u00e9es \u00e0 la BICEC Junction de Kumba, pour voir et t\u00e9moigner qu\u2019il s\u2019agit bel et bien du redoutable chef de guerre, patron des \u00ab Red Dragons \u00bb qui a sem\u00e9 la terreur dans le d\u00e9partement du Lebialem pendant six ann\u00e9es de suite.<\/p>\n

Des sources m\u00e9diatiques locales font savoir que son corps sera \u00e9galement expos\u00e9 dans d\u2019autres localit\u00e9s de la r\u00e9gion du Sud-Ouest, malgr\u00e9 son \u00e9tat de d\u00e9composition. Cependant, la pol\u00e9mique continue d\u2019enfler sur les r\u00e9elles circonstances de sa mort. Des sources proches de la cause s\u00e9cessionniste soutiennent que Olivier Lekeaka n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9 par des soldats camerounais, mais plut\u00f4t par un de ses propres affid\u00e9s, contre une r\u00e9compense de 10 millions de FCFA, puis remis aux forces de d\u00e9fense et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 camerounaises. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, aucune d\u00e9claration officielle de l\u2019arm\u00e9e n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite sur sa mort.<\/p>\n
