Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Investir au Cameroun) – Afin de maintenir inchang\u00e9s les prix des produits p\u00e9troliers \u00e0 la pompe au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2022, dans un contexte international marqu\u00e9 par la hausse des cours du p\u00e9trole brut et du fret, le gouvernement camerounais devrait garantir une enveloppe de subvention \u00e0 la consommation d\u2019un montant de plus de 780 milliards de FCFA. Ce nouveau chiffre est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 par le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Tr\u00e9sor du minist\u00e8re des Finances, Sylvester Moh, dans une interview \u00e0 Cameroon Tribune, le quotidien \u00e0 capitaux publics.<\/p>\n

Cette enveloppe pr\u00e9visionnelle d\u00e9passe non seulement les 480 milliards de FCFA pr\u00e9vus \u00e0 cet effet dans le collectif budg\u00e9taire d\u00e9cid\u00e9 par le chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat et valid\u00e9 par le Parlement en juin 2022, mais aussi les 672 milliards de FCFA projet\u00e9 par le ministre du Commerce, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, au cours d\u2019une conf\u00e9rence de presse organis\u00e9e le 30 mars 2022 \u00e0 Yaound\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9passement de l\u2019enveloppe budg\u00e9taire initiale r\u00e9serv\u00e9e \u00e0 la subvention des produits p\u00e9troliers \u00e0 la pompe \u00e9tait pr\u00e9visible. En effet, dans un communiqu\u00e9 rendu public le 11 juillet 2022 par le ministre de l\u2019Eau et de l\u2019\u00c9nergie (Minee), Gaston Eloundou Essomba, alors que la p\u00e9nurie des carburants battait son plein dans le pays, ce membre du gouvernement r\u00e9v\u00e8le que la subvention des produits p\u00e9troliers a co\u00fbt\u00e9 317 milliards de FCFA au Tr\u00e9sor public, au premier semestre 2022.<\/p>\n

P\u00e9nurie<\/p>\n

Ce qui correspond \u00e0 une moyenne de 52,8 milliards de FCFA par mois, soit 634 milliards de FCFA sur 12 mois, compte non tenu de ce qu\u2019au mois de juin 2022, par exemple, cette subvention a culmin\u00e9 \u00e0 80 milliards de FCFA, selon les chiffres du Minee. Non seulement le nouveau chiffre avanc\u00e9 par le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Tr\u00e9sor d\u00e9passe tous les chiffres officiels annonc\u00e9s jusqu\u2019ici, mais surtout il conforte la th\u00e8se selon laquelle cette subvention est insoutenable pour le Tr\u00e9sor public sur le moyen, voire le court terme, comme peut en t\u00e9moigner la r\u00e9cente p\u00e9nurie des carburants qui a secou\u00e9 le pays.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u2009Il convient de faire observer que ces perturbations sont dues principalement, \u00e0 l\u2019importante enveloppe de la subvention des prix \u00e0 la pompe qu\u2019il faut effectivement mobiliser en temps r\u00e9el pour assurer les importations des produits p\u00e9troliers\u2009\u00bb, avait expliqu\u00e9 le ministre de l\u2019Eau et de l\u2019\u00c9nergie le 11 juillet 2022, pour justifier la raret\u00e9 des carburants dans les grandes m\u00e9tropoles camerounaises.<\/p>\n

Au regard de ce qui pr\u00e9c\u00e8de, au lieu de la r\u00e9duction progressive de la subvention \u00e0 la consommation des produits p\u00e9troliers \u00e0 la pompe, que le gouvernement annonce \u00e0 partir de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2023, le Cameroun pourrait \u00eatre amen\u00e9 \u00e0 suspendre ladite subvention avant la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2022 courante, en raison de son insoutenabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
