Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Le pr\u00e9sident la R\u00e9publique Paul Biya sign\u00e9 le 27 juillet 2022, un d\u00e9cret habilitant Alamine Ousmane Mey, ministre de l\u2019Economie, de la planification et de l\u2019am\u00e9nagement du territoire (Minepat) \u00e0 signer avec le Fonds vert pour l\u2019environnement (FVE), un accord de pr\u00eat d\u2019un montant de 1 000 000 de dollars (567 880 000 FCFA) pour le financement compl\u00e9mentaire du Programme int\u00e9gr\u00e9 de d\u00e9veloppement et d\u2019adaptation au changement climatique dans le Bassin du Niger (PIDACC\/BN).<\/p>\n

Ledit accord pr\u00eat fait suite \u00e0 un accord conclu le 04 f\u00e9vrier 2022, entre le Cameroun et la Banque africaine de d\u00e9veloppement (BAD), agissant en tant qu\u2019entit\u00e9 accr\u00e9dit\u00e9e au Fonds vert pour le climat. Le programme vise la lutte contre les changements climatiques par la s\u00e9curisation des syst\u00e8mes de production agropastoraux, l\u2019accroissement des stocks de carbone forestier, la gestion durable des ressources naturelles et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et la lutte contre la pauvret\u00e9.<\/p>\n

projectsportal.afdb.org explique que l\u2019objectif global du Programme est de contribuer \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la r\u00e9silience des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes du fleuve Niger et des populations par une gestion durable des ressources naturelles. De mani\u00e8re sp\u00e9cifique, il vise \u00e0 pr\u00e9server les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes du Bassin, notamment \u00e0 travers la r\u00e9duction du processus d\u2019ensablement du fleuve Niger.<\/p>\n

Am\u00e9liorer la r\u00e9silience des syst\u00e8mes de production et des populations. Le programme mettra l\u2019accent sur l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la situation socio-\u00e9conomique des femmes et des jeunes et leur acc\u00e8s aux ressources qui constitue un facteur essentiel pour surmonter la pauvret\u00e9 et la malnutrition infantile.<\/p>\n
