Africa-Press<\/a> – Cameroun<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The man who served as Moderator of the PCC from 1999 to 2009 died on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in Douala, said Rev. Miki Hans Abia, PCC Synod Clerk.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), the Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba announces with deep regret the death of the Very Rev. Dr. Nyansako-ni-Nku, former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon and [erstwhile] President of the All African Conference of Churches [elected on November 27, 2003] who slept in the Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, \u201d+ Fonki said on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

Rt. Rev. Fonki adds that funeral arrangements will be communicated in the days ahead. He calls on all Presbyterians to pray for the rest of the soul of \u201cour church father and remain in prayers for the whole church.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Moderator of the PCC extends his \u201cdeep sympathy to our mother Ma Nku Grace, the immediate family and the PCC family at large.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rev. Nyansako-ni-Nku served as Synod Clerk of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon from 1989 to 1999. He was first elected Moderator of the PCC in 1999. At the end of his five-year mandate, he was re-elected for a second five -year term as Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC in an election that took place at the 41st Synod of \u201cGrowth\u201d meeting, held at Presbyterian Church Center, Kumba from November 7 – 9, 2004.<\/p>\n

Rev. Dr. Nyansako-ni-Nku described himself as an \u00ab\u00a0intensely family man.\u00a0\u00bb He was married to Grace Mbong, a secondary school teacher of history. They had four children: two girls and two boys.<\/p>\n

He was born on September 29, 1945, in Kotto-Barombi, a village in Meme Division of Cameroon’s South-West Region. In April 1972, he was ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament.<\/p>\n

I was planning to pay him a visit, just to hear that he has gone home to be with the Lord. I thank God for laying your hands on me during my ordination. You personally handed me my bachelor’s degree in the seminary for my distinction. You have groomed sons and daughters to follow you in your footsteps.
