Le texte a e\u0301te\u0301 soutenu par une large majorite\u0301 de de\u0301pute\u0301s europe\u0301ens, soit 453 voix pour, contre 57 voix et 123 abstentions.<\/p>\n<p>Le projet de loi qui comprenait au de\u0301part l\u2019huile de palme, le soja, le cafe\u0301, le bois, etc. a vu la liste se rallonger avec l\u2019inte\u0301gration du caoutchouc. Une bouffe\u0301e d\u2019oxyge\u0300ne pour certains peuples autochtones, dont l\u2019habitat est de\u0301friche\u0301 au profit de la culture de cette matie\u0300re premie\u0300re agricole.<\/p>\n<p>En clair, ce qui change avec l\u2019adoption de cette nouvelle loi est que de\u0301sormais, l\u2019on ne pourra plus importer des produits au sein de l\u2019union europe\u0301enne si jamais ils sont issus de la de\u0301forestation. Le projet de loi qui comprenait au de\u0301part l\u2019huile de palme, le soja, le cafe\u0301, le bois, le cacao, etc. a vu la liste se rallonger avec l\u2019inte\u0301gration du caoutchouc.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Greenpeace Afrique espe\u0300re que l\u2019Union europe\u0301enne va plus tard voter e\u0301galement une loi qui s\u2019oppose aux facilite\u0301s financie\u0300res qui sont accorde\u0301es a\u0300 ces agro-industries par des banques europe\u0301ennes \u00bb, affirme Ranece Jovial Ndjeudja, responsable de la campagne fore\u0302t chez Greenpeace Afrique.<\/p>\n<p>Avec cette nouvelle loi, le Cameroun pourrait voir ses activite\u0301s baisser sur ce marche\u0301. La production nationale de caoutchouc s\u2019est chiffre\u0301e a\u0300 60 000 tonnes en 2020, contre 45 000 tonnes en 2019. Les acteurs implique\u0301s sur ce segment d\u2019activite\u0301 sont la Cameroon development corporation (CDC), He\u0301ve\u0301a du Cameroun (Hevecam) filiale du britannique Corrie MacColl, et Sudcam.<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les principaux clients du Cameroun, se classent les pays de l\u2019Union europe\u0301enne.
