Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Investir au Cameroun) – Savannah Energy, socie\u0301te\u0301 e\u0301nerge\u0301tique inde\u0301pendante britannique axe\u0301e sur l\u2019Afrique, vient d\u2019annoncer qu\u2019elle devra de\u0301bourser la somme de 407 millions de dollars (253,9 milliards de FCFA, selon le cours actuel du dollar) pour acque\u0301rir l\u2019ensemble de son portefeuille d\u2019actifs en amont et en aval du pipeline Tchad-Cameroun.<\/p>\n

Cette annonce, apprend-on, fait suite a\u0300 la signature par Savannah Energy et ExxonMobil d\u2019un accord en 2021 pour l\u2019achat d\u2019actions dans le projet pe\u0301trolier de Doba, dans le sud du Tchad, et dans le syste\u0300me de transport d\u2019exportation Tchad-Cameroun, qui comprend un ole\u0301oduc de 1 081 km et l\u2019installation flottante de production, de stockage et de de\u0301chargement Kome Kribi 1, au large du Cameroun. Concre\u0300tement Savannah Energy va acque\u0301rir les 40% de parts de\u0301tenues par ExxonMobil dans Cameroon Oil Transportation Co (Cotco) et Tchad Oil Transportation Co (Totco).<\/p>\n

\u00ab La Chambre africaine de l\u2019e\u0301nergie soutient de tout c\u0153ur cette transaction monumentale, qui servira sans aucun doute a\u0300 apporter de nouvelles opportunite\u0301s e\u0301nerge\u0301tiques a\u0300 l\u2019Afrique du Nord et a\u0300 l\u2019Afrique du Centre-Ouest \u00bb, de\u0301clare NJ Ayuk, pre\u0301sident exe\u0301cutif de la Chambre africaine de l\u2019e\u0301nergie (AEC). Il ajoute que, \u00ab l\u2019arrive\u0301e de socie\u0301te\u0301s e\u0301nerge\u0301tiques inde\u0301pendantes en Afrique permettra au continent de se concentrer sur l\u2019apport d\u2019e\u0301nergie a\u0300 ses habitants en exploitant ses ressources naturelles, tout en de\u0301montrant les perspectives lucratives dans des pays qui ont e\u0301te\u0301 ne\u0301glige\u0301s jusqu\u2019a\u0300 pre\u0301sent. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Dans la foule\u0301e, M. Ayuk appelle les re\u0301gulateurs du Tchad et du Cameroun a\u0300 approuver la transaction rapidement et sans de\u0301lai afin de renforcer la confiance du marche\u0301 et des investisseurs. Dans une lettre adresse\u0301e le 14 juin aux dirigeants de Cotco et Totco, le ministre du Pe\u0301trole, Djerassem Le Bemadjiel, a fait savoir que ce transfert d\u2019actifs n\u2019avait toujours pas e\u0301te\u0301 valide\u0301 et qu\u2019il fallait suspendre le processus jusqu\u2019a\u0300 nouvel ordre. La participation d\u2019ExxonMobil au Tchad et au Cameroun, pre\u0301ce\u0301demment estime\u0301e a\u0300 360 millions de dollars, comprend des champs produisant 33 700 barils de pe\u0301trole par jour (bpj), le projet pe\u0301trolier de Doba a\u0300 lui seul, un prospect qui comprend sept champs pe\u0301troliers en production, affichant une production combine\u0301e de 28 000 bpj.<\/p>\n
