Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Investir au Cameroun) – Au Cameroun, la production des cultures vivrie\u0300res devrait afficher une contre-performance au premier trimestre 2023, selon le test de conjoncture que vient de publier la Banque centrale des E\u0301tats de la Cemac (Cameroun, Centrafrique, Congo, Gabon, Guine\u0301e e\u0301quatoriale et Tchad).<\/p>\n

En effet, apprend-on de cette institution, \u00ab la production vivrie\u0300re e\u0301voluerait de\u0301favorablement au premier trimestre 2023, qui est traditionnellement la pe\u0301riode de faibles re\u0301coltes. En glissement annuel, la production vivrie\u0300re baisserait e\u0301galement au premier trimestre 2023 du fait du manque d\u2019engouement manifeste\u0301 par les producteurs, qui sont de\u0301motive\u0301s par la flambe\u0301e des cou\u0302ts des intrants \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Cela fait au moins deux ans que le secteur des cultures vivrie\u0300res (manioc, pommes de terre, banane plantain, mai\u0308s, etc.) est en re\u0301gression au Cameroun. En 2020, cette branche a de\u0301cru de 3% en 2020 contre 3,7% en 2019, a\u0300 cause de la crise sanitaire mondiale due au covid-19, la crise se\u0301curitaire dans les re\u0301gions du Nord-Ouest et le Sud-Ouest qui sont des grands bassins de production et les effets ne\u0301fastes du changement climatique.<\/p>\n

Mais a\u0300 chaque fois que le pays essaie de sortir de l\u2019ornie\u0300re, il y a une nouvelle crise qui vient fragiliser cette branche. Et depuis 2022, c\u2019est de\u0301sormais la crise des intrants (engrais, pesticides, fongicides, plants, semences…). Pourtant, en vue de diminuer les risques de pe\u0301nuries, le ministe\u0300re de l\u2019Agriculture a encourage\u0301, lors du lancement de la campagne agricole au premier trimestre 2020, la culture des vivres a\u0300 cycle court.<\/p>\n

Cette administration publique a ainsi mis a\u0300 la disposition des agriculteurs 141 000 boutures de manioc certifie\u0301, 60 tonnes de semences certifie\u0301es de riz pluvial, 1,5 million de plants de bananiers, 200 tonnes de pommes de terre, 6 millions de plants de cacao ainsi qu\u2019un appui au de\u0301veloppement des cultures marai\u0302che\u0300res. Mais ces investissements tardent a\u0300 produire les re\u0301sultats positifs escompte\u0301s.<\/p>\n
