\u00ab Ce financement apportera un soutien aux plus ne\u0301cessaires dans les communaute\u0301s vulne\u0301rables touche\u0301es par les conflits, les de\u0301placements et la hausse de l\u2019inse\u0301curite\u0301 alimentaire \u00bb, a fait savoir Janez Lenarc\u030cic\u030c, commissaire a\u0300 la gestion des crises de l\u2019UE, pendant la confe\u0301rence de haut niveau sur la re\u0301gion du Lac Tchad, qui se tenait ce de\u0301but de semaine a\u0300 Niamey au Niger.<\/p>\n

Depuis 2022, Bruxelles estime que pre\u0300s de 3,9 millions de personnes sont en situation humanitaire difficile. A\u0300 cause des affrontements entre les groupes se\u0301cessionnistes et l\u2019arme\u0301e camerounaise dans les re\u0301gions du Nord-Ouest et du Sud-Ouest qui ont de\u0301ja\u0300 oblige\u0301 598 000 personnes a\u0300 fuir leurs villages, des exactions de la secte islamique Boko Haram, des conflits intercommunautaires dans la re\u0301gion de l\u2019Extre\u0302me-Nord, de la persistance de la se\u0301cheresse qui a cause\u0301 une crise alimentaire, etc.<\/p>\n

Pour l\u2019UE, il faut rapidement apporter une aide vitale a\u0300 toutes ces personnes de\u0301place\u0301es par les conflits, ainsi qu\u2019aux communaute\u0301s d\u2019accueil. Il est aussi question de \u00ab re\u0301pondre aux besoins alimentaires les plus pressants des me\u0301nages et des communaute\u0301s touche\u0301s par le conflit et de traiter les enfants de moins de cinq ans souffrant de malnutrition aigue\u0308 se\u0301ve\u0300re \u00bb, indique l\u2019UE. Qui met aussi l\u2019accent sur les secteurs de la sante\u0301 et la mise en place d\u2019un programme d\u2019e\u0301ducation destine\u0301 a\u0300 ces populations de\u0301place\u0301es.<\/p>\n

En 2022, Bruxelles a alloue\u0301 27,5 millions d\u2019euros, soit 18 milliards de FCFA, d\u2019aide humanitaire au Cameroun. Une partie de cet argent provenait du Fonds europe\u0301en de de\u0301veloppement, le principal instrument de l\u2019aide communautaire a\u0300 la coope\u0301ration et au de\u0301veloppement que l\u2019UE apporte aux pays du groupe Afrique, Carai\u0308bes et Pacifique (ACP).<\/p>\n
