Africa-Press<\/a> – Cameroun<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Plusieurs m\u00e9dias ont annonc\u00e9 une \u00e9ventuelle fermeture (le 10 mai 2021) de l\u2019usine de la Cotonni\u00e8re Industrielle du Cameroun (CICAM), de Garoua dans la r\u00e9gion du Nord. Selon les informations relay\u00e9es, l\u2019arr\u00eat annonc\u00e9 des activit\u00e9s de cette usine serait d\u00fb \u00e0 un manque de mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Dans un communiqu\u00e9 destin\u00e9 aux m\u00e9dias et repris dans le journal Le Messager de ce 11 mai 2021, la direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la CICAM d\u00e9ment cette information. \u00abL\u2019importation des \u00e9crus en vue de compl\u00e9ter la production de notre site industriel de Garoua est une activit\u00e9 vieille de plus de 15 ans. En effet, lors d\u2019une de ses nombreuses restructurations, la CICAM a d\u00fb fermer une de ses usines implant\u00e9es \u00e0 Garoua. Par cons\u00e9quent, les volumes produits \u00e0 Garoua ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u2019av\u00e9rer insuffisants par rapport au besoin du march\u00e9\u00bb, indique le communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Si les premi\u00e8res importations d\u2019\u00e9crus ont commenc\u00e9 en 2006, la direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la CICAM explique qu\u2019aujourd\u2019hui, compte tenu \u00abdes probl\u00e8mes structurels et conjoncturels, la capacit\u00e9 de Garoua est drastiquement r\u00e9duite\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abLa diff\u00e9rence et seulement la diff\u00e9rence, entre le besoin du march\u00e9 et la capacit\u00e9 actuelle de Garoua (en attendant l\u2019arriv\u00e9e des pi\u00e8ces de rechanges et des nouveaux \u00e9quipements) devant nous permettre de r\u00e9aliser notre budget d\u2019une part et de maintenir l\u2019activit\u00e9 des trois sites d\u2019autre part, met la CICAM dans l\u2019obligation d\u2019importer\u00bb.<\/b><\/p>\n

Le communiqu\u00e9 rappelle que l\u2019usine de Garoua a \u00e9t\u00e9 la plus grande b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaire de nombreuses acquisitions, et dans les pr\u00e9visions d\u2019investissements, \u00abil est question de refaire toute la filature de Garoua notamment sa pr\u00e9paration, son battage et son laboratoire\u00bb, peut-on lire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
