Roger Athanase Meyong Abath e\u0301tait jusque-la\u0300 chef de l\u2019inspection des services des impo\u0302ts au sein de la me\u0302me administration et assurait par ailleurs l\u2019inte\u0301rim de son pre\u0301de\u0301cesseur de manie\u0300re rotative avec Kassimou Aba Mariamou.<\/p>\n<p>Le nouveau promu jouit d\u2019un solide parcours dans le domaine de la fiscalite\u0301. Diplo\u0302me\u0301 de l\u2019Institut des relations internationales du Cameroun (IRIC), de l\u2019Ecole nationale d\u2019administration et de magistrature (ENAM), de l\u2019Ecole supe\u0301rieure des mines de Paris, il est titulaire d\u2019un doctorat en fiscalite\u0301 de l\u2019Universite\u0301 de Paris Dauphine.<\/p>\n<p>Sur le plan professionnel, il a exerce\u0301 de 2014 a\u0300 2020 comme directeur des grandes entreprises a\u0300 la DGI, entre autres fonctions. Enseignant dans nombre d\u2019universite\u0301s, Roger Meyong Abath a contribue\u0301 en qualite\u0301 d\u2019Expert du Cameroun au processus d\u2019harmonisation fiscale en Afrique Centrale.<\/p>\n<p>La direction ge\u0301ne\u0301rale des impo\u0302ts est davantage aujourd\u2019hui un enjeu immense pour les finances publiques. Conscient de cette re\u0301alite\u0301, le nouveau promu s\u2019activera pour la poursuite des nombreuses re\u0301formes initie\u0301es par son pre\u0301de\u0301cesseur. Notamment la digitalisation des services, qui a re\u0301duit de manie\u0300re substantielle le contact entre les agents du fisc et les contribuables.<\/p>\n<p>Un acce\u0301le\u0301rateur de recettes fiscales au fil des anne\u0301es.
