Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Le Programme des Nations unies pour le de\u0301veloppement (PNUD)<\/b> s\u2019engage a\u0300 de\u0301bloquer 200 millions FCFA pour aider 500 enfants de la rue au pays de Paul Biya. <\/b><\/p>\n

L\u2019annonce a e\u0301te\u0301 faite ce 31 mars par le repre\u0301sentant re\u0301sident du Programme des Nations unies pour le de\u0301veloppement (PNUD) au Cameroun. Il a annonce\u0301 que cet organisme onusien va de\u0301bloquer 200 millions FCFA pour soutenir les enfants de la rue. \u00ab Le PNUD remet des kits d\u2019hygie\u0300ne et alimentaire a\u0300 500 jeunes de la rue. Cet accompagnement va se poursuivre. Nous allons faire en sorte de pouvoir investir environ 200 millions FCFA dans les six prochains mois pour aider les jeunes a\u0300 sortir de la rue dans les villes de Yaounde\u0301, Douala et Ngaounde\u0301re\u0301 \u00bb, a fait savoir Alassane Ba, le repre\u0301sentant re\u0301sident du PNUD.<\/p>\n

Cette aide rentre dans le cadre de la politique sociale du gouvernement dont le but est de sortir les enfants de la rue en les autonomisant. C\u2019est ce qu\u2019explique la ministre des Affaires sociales, Pauline Ire\u0300ne Nguene : \u00ab c\u2019est une initiative que nous avons entame\u0301e depuis 2021, extraire des enfants de la rue, pouvoir leur trouver un cadre pour les re\u0301inse\u0301rer. C\u2019e\u0301tait une ope\u0301ration pilote. Il y en a qui sont rentre\u0301s en famille et d\u2019autres qui sont alle\u0301s dans nos centres de re\u0301habilitation. Aujourd\u2019hui, on a change\u0301 de paradigmes, nous travaillons avec beaucoup de partenaires (…) qui nous accompagnent dans l\u2019identification et les besoins des enfants de la rue. Il y a un troisie\u0300me acteur qui entre en jeu aujourd\u2019hui c\u2019est le PNUD qui veut accompagner le gouvernement dans cette action \u00bb.<\/p>\n

En 2020, le ministe\u0300re des Affaires sociales a revendique\u0301 avoir retire\u0301 100 enfants de la rue pour les prote\u0301ger contre le coronavirus.<\/p>\n
