E\u0301lu en 2012 et apre\u0300s deux mandats conse\u0301cutifs, le pre\u0301sident se\u0301ne\u0301galais Macky Sall a annonce\u0301, lundi 3 juillet en soire\u0301e, qu\u2019il ne sera finalement pas candidat a\u0300 un troisie\u0300me mandat lors de la pre\u0301sidentielle de fe\u0301vrier 2024, a\u0300 un moment ou\u0300 le pays connai\u0302t de fortes tensions suite a\u0300 la condamnation de l’opposant Ousmane Sonko.<\/p>\n

Renoncer a\u0300 une candidature ille\u0301gale ne rele\u0300ve ni de la sagesse ni d’he\u0301roi\u0308sme. Macky Sall a simplement recule\u0301 sous la menace de soule\u0300vement des Se\u0301ne\u0301galais de\u0301termine\u0301s a\u0300 ne pas le laisser faire.
