Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Selon les informations du confre\u0300re Cameroun Actuel, une nouvelle campagne de vaccination contre le chole\u0301ra aura lieu au Cameroun. Le Ministe\u0300re de la Sante\u0301 du Cameroun a re\u0301cemment annonce\u0301 le lancement d\u2019une campagne de vaccination re\u0301active contre le chole\u0301ra dans la re\u0301gion du Centre.<\/p>\n

Cette mesure pre\u0301ventive vise a\u0300 contro\u0302ler la propagation de la maladie hydrique qui a refait surface dans la re\u0301gion en mars dernier. Avec plus de 4095 cas positifs enregistre\u0301s et un taux de le\u0301talite\u0301 e\u0301value\u0301 a\u0300 3,92%, il est crucial d\u2019agir rapidement pour prote\u0301ger la population.<\/p>\n

La campagne de vaccination, qui de\u0301butera le 16 aou\u0302t et se terminera le 20 aou\u0302t, ciblera 34 districts de sante\u0301 de la re\u0301gion du Centre. Le vaccin sera disponible pour toute personne a\u0302ge\u0301e d\u2019au moins un an, y compris les femmes enceintes et celles qui allaitent. Le Dr Brice Essomba Edzoa, coordonnateur re\u0301gional du programme e\u0301largi de vaccination du Centre, a souligne\u0301 l\u2019importance de cette initiative pour atteindre 95% de la population civile, estime\u0301e a\u0300 plus d\u2019un million 800 000 personnes.<\/p>\n

Outre la vaccination, la campagne mettra e\u0301galement l\u2019accent sur la sensibilisation, les strate\u0301gies de prise en charge, la potabilisation de l\u2019eau de consommation et la vaccination dans les zones ou\u0300 des foyers de chole\u0301ra ont e\u0301te\u0301 identifie\u0301s. Le coordonnateur re\u0301gional du programme e\u0301largi de vaccination souligne l\u2019importance de sensibiliser la population aux mesures d\u2019hygie\u0300ne de base, telles que le lavage des mains et la gestion ade\u0301quate des de\u0301chets, pour pre\u0301venir la propagation de la maladie.<\/p>\n

Pour assurer une couverture maximale, la campagne de vaccination sera mise en \u0153uvre de diffe\u0301rentes manie\u0300res. Les e\u0301quipes de sante\u0301 se rendront de porte a\u0300 porte dans les me\u0301nages, mettront en place des postes fixes dans les formations sanitaires, et e\u0301tabliront des points de vaccination temporaires dans les e\u0301coles coraniques, les instituts et universite\u0301s, les lieux de culte, les chefferies, les marche\u0301s, les gares routie\u0300res et tout autre lieu de rassemblement.<\/p>\n

Rappelons que le chole\u0301ra a touche\u0301 cinq re\u0301gions du Cameroun en fin mars 2023, a\u0300 savoir le Centre, le Littoral, l\u2019Ouest, le Sud et l\u2019Est. Cette campagne de vaccination dans la re\u0301gion du Centre est donc une e\u0301tape essentielle pour contenir l\u2019e\u0301pide\u0301mie et pre\u0301venir sa propagation dans d\u2019autres re\u0301gions.<\/p>\n

Au Minsante\u0301, l\u2019on indique que la campagne de vaccination re\u0301active contre le chole\u0301ra dans la re\u0301gion du Centre est une mesure pre\u0301ventive cruciale pour lutter contre cette maladie hydrique. En combinant la vaccination avec des mesures d\u2019hygie\u0300ne de base et des strate\u0301gies de sensibilisation, les autorite\u0301s sanitaires espe\u0300rent contro\u0302ler la propagation de l\u2019e\u0301pide\u0301mie et prote\u0301ger la population.<\/p>\n
