Le responsable de la zone pastorale Sainte Th\u00e9r\u00e8se de l’Enfant J\u00e9sus, \u00e0 Vekovi (, d\u00e9partement du Bui, r\u00e9gion du Nord-Ouest) vient encore de se voir priv\u00e9 de libert\u00e9. Le service de la communication du dioc\u00e8se de Kumbo annonce dans un communiqu\u00e9 dat\u00e9 du 4 Juin 2021 que les militaires l\u2019ont arr\u00eat\u00e9 ce matin-l\u00e0 en \u00ab l’accusant de collaborer avec les combattants s\u00e9paratistes \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Le dioc\u00e8se de Kumbo rappelle les pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes m\u00e9saventures du p\u00e8re Sylvester Ngarba Nsah qui aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 par le pass\u00e9 malmen\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois par les forces de d\u00e9fense camerounaises et les groupes arm\u00e9s s\u00e9cessionnistes en action dans les r\u00e9gions du Nord-Ouest et du Sud-Ouest. \u00ab Ce m\u00eame pr\u00eatre a \u00e9t\u00e9 plus de deux fois arr\u00eat\u00e9 et tortur\u00e9 par les \u00ab Amba Boys \u00bb pour avoir os\u00e9 ouvrir l’\u00e9cole catholique de Vekovi. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 malmen\u00e9 par l’arm\u00e9e il y a environ deux semaines et maintenant, il est \u00e0 nouveau entre les mains des forces militaires. Un convoi militaire l’a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 Bamenda et nous ne savons pas ce qui va lui arriver. Nous demandons au peuple de Dieu de prier pour sa lib\u00e9ration imm\u00e9diate \u00bb, exhorte le service de la communication du dioc\u00e8se de Kumbo.<\/p>\n

Rev. Fr Sylvester Ngarba Nsah, Father in charge of St Therese of the Child Jesus\u2019 Pastoral Zone, Vekovi has been arrested by the Cameroon military.<\/p>\n

This morning, the 4th of June 2021, the military forcefully arrested Fr Sylvester Ngarba Nsah, priest in charge of Vekovi pastoral zone, accusing him of collaborating with the separatist fighters. This same priest has more than twice been arrested and tortured by the \u00ab\u00a0Amba Boys\u00a0\u00bb for daring to open the Catholic school in Vekovi. He was rough-handled by the military some two weeks ago and now again, he is in the hands of the military forces. A military convoy has brought him to Bamenda and we are not sure what will happen to him.<\/p>\n

We ask the people of God to pray for his immediate release.<\/p>\n
