La cha\u00eene publique pr\u00e9cise que l\u2019\u00e9change avec les hommes et femmes des m\u00e9dias va porter sur la production du passeport.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est l\u2019occasion pour le patron de la police de faire le point sur les nouvelles modalit\u00e9s de production d\u2019un document de voyage que les usagers peinent parfois \u00e0 obtenir.<\/p>\n<p>En d\u00e9cembre 2020, le vieux policier avait sign\u00e9, avec le consortium allemand INCM Augentic, un contrat pour l\u2019\u00e9tablissement du passeport express dans notre pays. Ce travail \u00e9tait jusque-l\u00e0 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise Thal\u00e8s Security Systems. Mais le contrat qui la liait \u00e0 l\u2019Etat du Cameroun, expir\u00e9 en d\u00e9cembre 2019, n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 renouvel\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa technologie qu\u2019on va d\u00e9ployer, c\u2019est la technologie la plus avanc\u00e9e au monde. Le passeport va comporter une page en polycarbonate, ultra-s\u00e9curis\u00e9e et personnalis\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de notre centre en quelques heures. Ensuite, \u00e7a va \u00eatre pr\u00e9par\u00e9 pour l\u2019exp\u00e9dition. Donc, on rassure le citoyen Camerounais d\u2019avoir le passeport 48 heures apr\u00e8s l\u2019application. Cette application aura lieu dans des centres ultra-modernes et il n\u2019y aura pas de paiements en cash. Tout sera pay\u00e9 via des transactions en ligne\u00bb, avait indiqu\u00e9 Labinot Carrieti, le pr\u00e9sident directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du nouveau prestataire.<\/p>\n<p><b>Statuquo<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Faisant suite \u00e0 la signature dudit contrat, la police avait annonc\u00e9, \u00e0 partir de mars 2021, l\u2019\u00e9tablissement du passeport en 48 heures, contre plusieurs mois, voire des ann\u00e9es auparavant.<\/p>\n<p>Mais \u00e0 ce jour, la situation n\u2019a pas vraiment \u00e9volu\u00e9. Les usagers \u00e9prouvent toujours autant de difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 se faire \u00e9tablir la pi\u00e8ce. Pourtant en mars dernier, un nouveau directeur a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 \u00e0 la police des Fronti\u00e8res.
