Gra\u0302ce a\u0300 cette augmentation de ses ventes de 1,6% en glissement annuel, Dangote Cement Cameroun revendique 32,2% de parts d\u2019un marche\u0301 estime\u0301 a\u0300 3,1 millions de tonnes au cours de la pe\u0301riode sous revue, selon les propres estimations de l\u2019entreprise.<\/p>\n

Pour rappel, arrive\u0301e sur le marche\u0301 camerounais en 2015, apre\u0300s 48 ans de monopole des Cimenteries du Cameroun (Cimencam), filiale du groupe Lafarge, devenu LafargeHolcim Maroc Afrique (LHMA), Dangote Cement avait, au bout de 2 ans d\u2019activite\u0301s, re\u0301ussi a\u0300 chiper le leadership du marche\u0301 a\u0300 Cimencam. Afin de consolider cette position, Dangote Cement a annonce\u0301 depuis 2015 la construction d\u2019une 2e usine a\u0300 Yaounde\u0301, la capitale du pays. Mais, 7 ans plus tard, le projet qui visait a\u0300 doubler la capacite\u0301 de ce cimentier dans le pays a\u0300 3 millions de tonnes semble ne plus e\u0302tre d\u2019actualite\u0301 au sein du groupe nige\u0301rian.<\/p>\n

Entretemps, son concurrent imme\u0301diat, Cimencam, continue de booster ses capacite\u0301s. Apre\u0300s la nouvelle usine de 500 000 tonnes inaugure\u0301e en 2019 a\u0300 Nomayos, dans la banlieue de Yaounde\u0301, la filiale de LHMA annonce l\u2019entre\u0301e en production, de\u0300s janvier 2024, d\u2019une nouvelle ligne de 500 000 tonnes dans son usine de Figuil, dans la partie septentrionale du Cameroun. Ce qui portera ses capacite\u0301s globales a\u0300 2,3 millions de tonnes.<\/p>\n
