Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Investir au Cameroun) – Selon l\u2019Institut national de la statistique (INS), le taux d\u2019inflation moyen annuel enregistre\u0301 au Cameroun au cours du mois d\u2019octobre 2023 a culmine\u0301 a\u0300 7,7%. Cet indicateur, quasi stable par rapport aux 7,8% du mois d\u2019aou\u0302t 2023, repre\u0301sente toujours plus du double du seuil de tole\u0301rance de 3% admis dans la zone Cemac (Cameroun, Congo, Gabon, Tchad, RCA et Guine\u0301e e\u0301quatoriale).<\/p>\n

Ce niveau d\u2019inflation est conse\u0301cutif, pre\u0301cise l\u2019INS, a\u0300 \u00ab la progression de 12,3% des prix des produits alimentaires, de 12,6% des cou\u0302ts de transport et de 8,1% des prix des meubles, des articles de me\u0301nage et des produits d\u2019entretien courant. Les taux d\u2019inflation restent supe\u0301rieurs a\u0300 8% dans trois capitales re\u0301gionales, avec le plus e\u0301leve\u0301 enregistre\u0301 a\u0300 Bertoua (re\u0301gion de l\u2019Est) et le plus bas observe\u0301 a\u0300 Bamenda (re\u0301gion du Nord-Ouest). Suivant l\u2019origine des produits, la hausse est plus marque\u0301e pour les produits locaux, dont les prix ont augmente\u0301 de 8,4%, que pour les produits importe\u0301s pour lesquels les prix ont connu une augmentation de 5,8% \u00bb.<\/p>\n

A en croire les dernie\u0300res pre\u0301visions du FMI sur l\u2019e\u0301conomie camerounaise, ce niveau d\u2019inflation devrait cependant s\u2019atte\u0301nuer tre\u0300s le\u0301ge\u0300rement a\u0300 fin de\u0301cembre 2023, pour se situer a\u0300 7,2%, soit toujours largement au-dessus de la limite admise par les crite\u0300res de convergence en vigueur dans la Cemac. Une nette ame\u0301lioration de cet indicateur n\u2019interviendra qu\u2019au cours de l\u2019anne\u0301e 2024, avec un taux d\u2019inflation projete\u0301 a\u0300 5,9% par l\u2019institution de Bretton Woods.<\/p>\n
