Africa-Press – Cameroun. <\/strong><\/span>Investir au Cameroun) – Sur la pe\u0301riode de 72 heures allant du 18 au 20 de\u0301cembre 2023, le Tre\u0301sor public camerounais a effectue\u0301 des remboursements d\u2019un montant total de 95 milliards de FCFA sur le marche\u0301 des titres publics de la Banque des E\u0301tats de l\u2019Afrique centrale (Beac), apprend-on officiellement. Dans le de\u0301tail, une dette de 20 milliards de FCFA a e\u0301te\u0301 re\u0301gle\u0301e le 18 de\u0301cembre, pour apurer une e\u0301mission d\u2019obligations du Tre\u0301sor assimilables (OTA) effectue\u0301e il y a 2 ans, tandis que 75 milliards de FCFA e\u0301taient destine\u0301s a\u0300 l\u2019apurement, le 20 de\u0301cembre 2023, d\u2019un emprunt contracte\u0301 par e\u0301mission de bons du Tre\u0301sor assimilables (BTA) il y a 13 semaines.<\/p>\n

Afin de pouvoir effectuer ces remboursements, qui repre\u0301sentent le plus gros volume d\u2019emprunts jusqu\u2019ici rembourse\u0301 par le pays sur ce marche\u0301 en un laps de temps, le Cameroun a du\u0302 effectuer de nouveaux emprunts. Sur une enveloppe de 120 milliards de FCFA recherche\u0301s a\u0300 travers divers instruments financiers, environ 100 milliards de FCFA ont pu e\u0302tre mobilise\u0301s, apprend-on de sources internes au ministe\u0300re des Finances.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Sur le remboursement de 20 milliards pour les OTA, nous n\u2019avions pas de pression, puisque les fonds e\u0301taient de\u0301ja\u0300 disponibles. C\u2019est sur le remboursement de 75 milliards de FCFA sur les BTA qu\u2019il fallait chercher la totalite\u0301 de l\u2019enveloppe. C\u0327a n\u2019a pas e\u0301te\u0301 facile. Mais, nous y sommes parvenus \u00bb, souffle une source autorise\u0301e dans ce de\u0301partement ministe\u0301riel.<\/p>\n

A\u0300 l\u2019en croire, pour obtenir l\u2019enveloppe recherche\u0301e afin de permettre ce remboursement, il a fallu consentir des taux d\u2019inte\u0301re\u0302t de\u0301passant 5,5% tous instruments confondus. Ce qui est pratiquement le double des 3% jadis servis par le Cameroun sur cette me\u0302me cate\u0301gorie de titres. La faute a\u0300 une politique mone\u0301taire de plus en plus auste\u0300re mise en place par la Beac pour combattre l\u2019inflation.<\/p>\n
