Apre\u0300s l\u2019augmentation des prix des carburants intervenue en 2023, le nouveau rele\u0300vement s\u2019annonce. Dans les prochains jours, les prix des produits pe\u0301troliers pourraient connai\u0302tre une hausse a\u0300 la pompe. Le pre\u0301sident de la Re\u0301publique annonce que face a\u0300 la complexite\u0301 du secteur pe\u0301trolier et surtout a\u0300 cause du poids de la subvention e\u0301tatique sur ces produits, il y a lieu de proce\u0301der a\u0300 une nouvelle hausse, parce que, a\u0300 l\u2019e\u0301coute du pre\u0301sident, la facture reste sale\u0301e.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Vous devez savoir que dans le but de maintenir les prix a\u0300 la pompe a\u0300 leur niveau actuel qui est largement infe\u0301rieur a\u0300 celui pratique\u0301 dans les pays voisins, l\u2019Etat doit fournir d\u2019importants efforts financiers pour fortement subventionner les importations des produits pe\u0301troliers. Le poids de ces subventions pe\u0300se lourdement sur notre budget et re\u0301tre\u0301cit conside\u0301rablement les ressources dont nous avons le plus grand besoin pour apporter des re\u0301ponses aux autres proble\u0300mes auxquels nos institutions sont confronte\u0301es \u00bb, explique Paul Biya.<\/p>\n

Selon le chef de l\u2019Etat, la re\u0301duction de la subvention en 2023 a permis au Tre\u0301sor public de respirer. \u00ab L\u2019anne\u0301e dernie\u0300re, le gouvernement a e\u0301te\u0301 amene\u0301 a\u0300 proce\u0301der a\u0300 un le\u0301ger rele\u0300vement des prix des carburants a\u0300 la pompe. Gra\u0302ce a\u0300 cette mesure, la subvention des produits pe\u0301troliers e\u0301taient de plus de mille milliards de FCFA en 2022, a e\u0301te\u0301 a\u0300 environ 640 milliards de FCFA en 2023. Cependant, cette subvention continue de peser significativement sur le tre\u0301sor public. Nous n\u2019aurons tre\u0300s certainement pas d\u2019autres choix que de la re\u0301duire de nouveau \u00bb a poursuivi le pre\u0301sident de la Re\u0301publique.<\/p>\n

Cette de\u0301cision ne\u0301cessite des mesures d\u2019accompagnement. \u00ab Nous veillerons ne\u0301anmoins a\u0300 ce que les ajustements ne\u0301cessaires n\u2019impactent pas substantiellement le pouvoir d\u2019achat des me\u0301nages. A terme, la re\u0301habilitation de la SONARA dont j\u2019ai prescrit l\u2019acce\u0301le\u0301ration devrait contribuer a\u0300 ame\u0301liorer la situation dans le secteur \u00bb, projette S.E. Paul Biya.<\/p>\n
