L\u2019annonce a e\u0301te\u0301 faite par la directeur ge\u0301ne\u0301ral du groupe, Amit Kimar, lors d\u2019une se\u0301ance de travail avec des maires organise\u0301e le 23 janvier dernier sous la houlette de l\u2019association des Communes et villes unies du Cameroun (CVUC). Ce dernier a indique\u0301 que le conglome\u0301rat indien pre\u0301voit de s\u2019implanter dans le pays et d\u2019y e\u0301tendre ses activite\u0301s, a\u0300 travers notamment sa filiale Ashok Leyland spe\u0301cialise\u0301e dans la construction de ve\u0301hicules industriels et d\u2019autobus.<\/p>\n

L\u2019on apprend ainsi que le conglome\u0301rat indien envisage notamment la mise en place, \u00ab le cas e\u0301che\u0301ant \u00bb, d\u2019une usine d\u2019assemblage de ve\u0301hicules au Cameroun. Une ambition qui cadre avec la vision du gouvernement qui souhaite voir e\u0301merger une industrie automobile dans le pays. D\u2019ailleurs, la Loi de finances 2024 pre\u0301voit un abattement de 50% sur la valeur imposable des pie\u0300ces de ve\u0301hicules importe\u0301es par les entreprises de fabrication et montage automobile pour une pe\u0301riode de 10 ans a\u0300 compter du 1er janvier 2024. De quoi inciter les entreprises a\u0300 vouloir s\u2019installer au Cameroun, comme Hinduja Group, actif essentiellement dans l\u2019industrie automobile, la finance, l\u2019armement, l\u2019industrie chimique, l\u2019e\u0301nergie et les services informatiques.<\/p>\n

Au Cameroun, le groupe indien propose de travailler avec les collectivite\u0301s territoriales de\u0301centralise\u0301es (CDT) pour de\u0301velopper un syste\u0300me de transport interre\u0301gional par autobus. Ils proposent une solution de transport comple\u0300te, qui va de la production a\u0300 l\u2019utilisation et a\u0300 la maintenance des bus de transport. Une offre pre\u0301sente\u0301e comme \u00ab une solution aux difficulte\u0301s que le pays rencontre dans le secteur des transports interurbains et inter-E\u0301tats pour la sous-re\u0301gion Afrique centrale \u00bb, d\u2019apre\u0300s l\u2019association CVUC. Un me\u0301morandum d\u2019entente (MoU) a d\u2019ailleurs e\u0301te\u0301 signe\u0301 entre les deux parties et un \u00ab mode\u0300le prive\u0301 \u00bb de transport adopte\u0301, dont les e\u0301tudes seront conduites a\u0300 l\u2019e\u0301chelle communale avec l\u2019appui institutionnel des sectorielles concerne\u0301es, apprend-on.<\/p>\n

Nous avons eu la premie\u0300re re\u0301union et dans les prochains jours, nous allons avoir des re\u0301unions techniques. Apre\u0300s quoi, nous pre\u0301senterons le projet au gouvernement pour e\u0301valuation \u00bb, a de\u0301clare\u0301 Armand Ongolo, le maire d\u2019Evodoula (Centre), dans des propos rapporte\u0301s par le quotidien a\u0300 capitaux publics Cameroon tribune.<\/p>\n

Ashok Leyland est l\u2019un des principaux constructeurs automobiles en Inde. L\u2019entreprise phare du groupe Hinduja produit notamment des autobus, des ve\u0301hicules industriels et des ve\u0301hicules commerciaux le\u0301gers. Il compte de\u0301ja\u0300 parmi ses clients des compagnies de transport public dans plusieurs pays africains, dont la Co\u0302te d\u2019Ivoire, le Nigeria, le Ghana et le Se\u0301ne\u0301gal.<\/p>\n
